The US dollar has been the global reserve currency status since the allies agreed for it to replace the Pound Sterling in 1945 in Bretton Woods New Hampshire..(Bretton Woods agreement). Our politicians exploited this power, along with all the revenue of the implementation of the payroll tax, FDIC tax, confiscation of gold from the people in 1933 and all the revenue of gold reserves from the allies from both World Wars (also they gave us their gold for dollars). The enormous deficits ran up to finance the Cold Wars (Nuke/Space Race, Korean and Vietnam Wars ..war on poverty) the allies began to exchange their dollar reserves for their gold at the US Treasury.. Nixon ended the dollars convertibility into gold by 1972 ... By 1974 Nixon and Kissinger cemented our alliance with the House of Saud that stemmed back to Roosevelt..by pegging our dollar to the Saudi King's and their oil ...we would protect Saudi Arabia from Iraq and Iran as long as they sold their oil in US dollars...thus the Petrodollar Pact was born. We have fought nearly every single War since then for the house of Saud and to keep our hegemonic empire in the Middle East strong. Our Navy patrols sea lanes and ensures dollars for goods are traded securely and freely ...our military empire has nothing to do with the Bill of Rights
