@Brian Keith Bessesen The Tower of Babel: Hence the ability to control the script. . . . . . You are totally correct. People do not read the whole of the Word in the Bible. Again the Religious Power controls the narrative because people choose to follow instead of reading for themselves: becoming sheep. No person needs anyone else to explain the Word to them. The Bible is written for the individual so a person can choose for ones self. Still though ones mind and heart has to be in the correct frame of mind for understanding the Word, that understanding that is being given. Given for free so as one can choose for ones self. The Bible a written in such a way that if a persons mind is not asking for the true knowledge then a person will only use the word that is written for their own selfish idea's. Other wise people are simply creating their own idea for a god that caters to their own wants and needs regardless of anyone else. The tribulation started after Jesus ascended to Heaven. To sit and watch the eventual outcome that He said would occur because people will follow their own wants and needs regardless of the suffering of others. . . . . From the beginning we were all about inclusiveness. . . . It is very difficult it seems believing as I do and still going into the world at large and trying to explain this to people when all I get is that "deer in the headlights look" in return. People will often remark, "I've never heard that before". In which I will say, "Perhaps you should begin reading for yourself". I read the Bible at about age seven or eight and understood most of what I read. It did take me some time to wrap my mind around the book of Isaiah. I read as a child and understood as a child. It was very clear to me at that time. The older I became the more I became lost in a world that truly seemed very divided in all thing's. It is very difficult to get back to that child's understanding Even still knowing all that I know, even I do not follow the first two Commandment's. So I consider myself no better than anyone else. I see the world as it is. I know, what it seems is about to occur. Manasseh is fallen. The next Middle East war that is coming will be just like 911. The King of the East is rising. And the King of the North is on the move. It all began at 00:01 January 2000. The wall came down. The the Pope went to Jerusalem. Then the wars began. As it has been written so it will be. Thank you for your text. It is comforting to know that other's understand the Word. Be blessed. :-)

So is showing someone murdered on a cross as the symbol on a church. None of that helps me in my own rape and if I am innocent in court like Jesus their will be no justice. I don’t want a God who kills all Canaanites to have land for early Jews but his near family member has to die in the mind of every church member because Satan gets to live to torment us. Scary stuff that appears to amplify at a global level the insights of C. Wright Mills ( _The Power Elite_ ) and G. William Domhoff ( _Who Rules America?_ ). Thank you, Ms Navidi, a hub insider, for providing a welcome read. Over the decades one hears, "networking, networking, networking," as the _real_ byword for advancement, where effort, diligence, creativity and self-discipline truly feel secondary. One often gets the sense that the real secret resides in breaking into these homogeneous, almost hermetic hubs, regardless of personal efforts or academic achievement (the narrative sold to most students in academia). As for homophily and "subconscious" efforts at excluding outsiders, now from my experience this rings a naive tone. Consider the unwritten rules for admissions at "top" private elite universities (not to mention exorbitant tuition fees) and the near-prohibitive tuitions at their "feeder" private prep schools. How can one possibly even mingle with the individuals or groups that will make a difference in one's future? That will allow one to enter a hub? One understands the tendency for all tribes to carve out their silos. No problem there, but when certain tribes acquire so much power as to undermine democracy itself by treating candidates for public office as another purchasable commodity, that's where I question the utility, not to mention the danger, of these self-isolating power enclaves. Be well.

What makes you think their elite and unapproachable? Politicians love people and want to serve for the greater good. They accept input from their constituents. Why are you so small minded and not seeing that their work is for you. Now if you don’t live in the US you aren’t as privy to them here but the greatest people actually do for a lot of people usually. When they can’t do something it is because they are one individual and it’s not in their ability to do. I can assure you their aides do read what you send and pertinent messages get passed.
@socratesagain78222 жыл бұрын
@@lesliewinchester8225 No one writes or states than anyone is "unapproachable," assuming one makes an appointment and can enter a security-conscious building... That said, one never wrote about _any_ "politician" whatever this signifier means. Elected officials at any level local, state, federal as a rule have to be extremely approachable and "people" persons. They will sit (or stand) and listen to constituents patiently and nod occasionally, sometimes ask a question or two while their staff diligently takes notes. Do elected officials "want to serve for the greater good?" Who doesn't? Even Hitler and Caligula wanted what in _their estimation_ was best for "their people." In the case of the US, lobbyists and (all too often corporate/dark money) campaign-contributors (political bribers), ahem, "suggest" to the elected official what is "the greater good," if it does not conflict with their constituents interests, fine and good, but if it does, a sop gets thrown to the mob (along with a palatable, feel-good narrative) and the contributing sponsor(s) gets their wish and, naturally, the corporate-servile elected official remains very amenable to corporate "sponsorship" and re-electable... In summary, my comment addressed itself to the ability to interact and join the club of the _elites_ , not to their flunky, elected finger-puppets. Be well.

Edit after 10 months: I started a blog (and supporting website) that acts as a generalized guide for how to start the ball rolling for positive social, economic and political (but I repeat myself, since all things are political) change, which you can find linked in my YT profile. I'm a socialist, but you don't have to be a socialist to see the value in the movement of democratization and community-building. --- All of this should help people understand why actual bottom-up democracy is such a massive threat that it has to be treated as a civilization-ending practice. Democracy requires regular human interaction such that the people involved are able to empathize and reason with each other as equals. To build democracy, you have to undo all of the work of the elite to atomize society (which is one of their tools to ensure their own hegemony goes largely unchallenged) by doing exactly what Sandra says that the elite do to gain/maintain their own power: network. Networking is relationship-building. There are common arguments against democracy that are regularly thrown around by people who cannot or will not think about why they repeat them. "It will inevitably devolve into mob rule," "it can't work on a scale greater than a few individuals," "people don't even want to participate; they just want to go to work, go home and relax," "if we have democracy, then all of the stupid people will have a say," etc etc etc. Most of these arguments, at their core, were made and perpetuated by Aristotle, who pushed the "aristocratic" notion of "the best people should rule." Aristotle lived through times of real democracy, but his main beef with it was that the "wise rulers" like himself, the elite, couldn't override the people, who actually made democracy work quite well. Ever since then, Aristotle's arguments have been used by the elite to justify their rule. "The peasants are too stupid to govern themselves. They NEED us to rule them." George Washington and the rest of the founders of the U.S. republic (which is best described as "elective authoritarianism") held the same sentiments for the same reasons, which they made no secret of. What the elite understand and fear is a public that proves their rhetoric wrong. A public that gets too educated throws their "the people are too stupid" argument out the window. A public that is to empathetic and cohesive throws their "it devolves into mob rule" argument out the window. In all cases, the elite have to ensure that the threat never materializes by attacking education, creating or exacerbating tribal splits, and generally atomizing society, and then as a consolation so that the people feel as though they're not completely helpless, the elite give them the "right" to elect who will rule them...from a selection of candidates vetted by the elite (with very few exceptions). I keep getting hit with the uncritical arguments against democracy. So here's my response: How long does a real democracy, or any system for that matter, have to exist before you can accept it as being successful? How big does a real democracy have to be to prove that scale isn't a problem? How much foreign interventionism are you willing to excuse before acknowledging that a system didn't work because of outside influences, rather than its own failings as a system? Here's an example of a real democracy that has existed for ~26 years, encompassing over 300,000 people in an impoverished and non-contiguous region of Mexico (the surrounding regions are comparably similar, giving a reasonably good comparison to democracy vs standard top-down governance), practicing democracy at the local and regional level without the "endless meetings" and "mob rule" and other failing imagined by anti-democracy rhetoricians, and whose outcomes for the people (again, compared to their neighbors who live in similarly poor conditions) are so much better than the standard of the area that surrounding regions have demanded their governments adopt the same kinds of policies (and even then, the people still go to that group for issues of justice, education and sanitation, because the official system is too corrupt). *It's the Zapatistas.* The Mexican government has been trying to stamp them out for their whole existence, especially considering that they're a revolutionary movement that got fed up with the corruption and mistreatment of indigenous peoples and decided to fight back. There's too much attention being paid by their own people, and by international governments and peoples, to take the standard approach and butcher them (that's the "standard" approach that the United States has fully endorsed and supported...and even taken). Their continued success is a direct threat to the hegemony of the elite, and so people have to make excuses for why it's not good enough to prove democracy can work. "It hasn't even been a thousand years, yet, so we can't KNOW," one guy complained to me. "They don't have airlines and other advanced technology, so it doesn't count," said another. They'll come up with any excuse to maintain the narrative given them by the elite, in part, I believe, because their place in the existing hierarchies of power are also threatened, and without someone to kick down at, things look more bleak for people who only know that kind of life. So think about democracy, not as "one person, one vote," but as networking, building relationships, and coming together to work out issues, instead of relying on someone else, a "wise ruler," to do it for you.

Actually, the last insider who really blew the whistle on these elites and paid a serious price was professor Carroll Quigley in his seminal, _Tragedy and Hope_ . At first blush I was surprised that the elites did not hold a public torching of this book in the square, but that would have publicized this embarrassing expose. Hence, they let it die a quiet death. Fortunately, like general Smedley Butler's expose of the MIC, _War is a Racket_ it's freely available in the www. Be well.

This study appears innovative but is actually a plagiarism of Personal Destinies and Class Structure by Daniel Bertaux, a work published in 1977. This young author, however, has focused her attention on the personal and family relationships of people at the top of the global financial pyramid while the French sociologist studied both this aspect of French society and the relationships between those at the base of it (French workers and their families). Anyone who knows the Social Function of War in the Tupinambá Society, by Florestam Fernandes, knows that even societies considered primitive reinforce their intragroup and intergroup personal relationships and the distribution of power and prestige in some way. The Tupinambás did this when they sacrificed, dismembered and ate their prisoners in ritual feasts in which they consumed large amounts of Cauim (Tupã wine). The parts of roasted human bodies (head, torso, arms, legs, internal organs) were not randomly distributed, but followed a pattern, assigning a specific value to each one of them. We can say that the strengthening of intragroup relations of the world's financial elites follows a pattern similar to the French one (Daniel Bertaux), but we can also raise another hypothesis. Supported by the work of Florestam Fernandes, we can say that the super-rich have transformed the entire world into a captive enemy that must be sacrificed and shared out daily. The pieces of the world are distributed in a way that reinforces the relationships between them and devoured with champagne. Despite the glamor and expensive toys, the billionaires who run the neoliberal freak show act as if they are cannibals without worrying about any ethical aspects in their relationships with other people (those who actually work and produce goods and services). The people studied by the interviewee belong to a tribe that can be ironically called neo-Tupinamba.

The Holy Bible summary of God’s loving plan: Make deals knowing people will break them. Later destroy all but a chosen few. Repeat several times. Impregnate your future mother (Father, Son, Holy Ghost three in one). Get tortured and die to wipe out all sins, except of people not chosen to get the free gift of faith. Come back on a horse and kill all the wicked with a sword. Then destroy and re-create everything. Send the unchosen many into Hell’s eternally burning darkness. Make the few chosen into pillars in the temple, which is the LORD, of the New Jerusalem made of precious metals and stones, and which comes down OUT of heaven. The End.

I tried watching to the end. This clip does not answer the implied question of the title. Networks as here outlined by Navidi are not causal, they're descriptive. Institutional practices and governing operations are what sustain (or collapse) them. And in any case, the more pressing question is how to dismantle the elite networks and hand a measure of power back to ordinary people, and locally, so that leviathans do not get to madly, remotely and with psychopathic detachment dictate what happens in a working person's life.

Ultimately any system is only as stable as it’s functionality and success at doing what it was designed to do . A financial/economic system is successful when it provides a working system for an economy to function in . When any part is favored above another at the expense of a foundational aspect of the system it erodes and falls apart . Corruption will lead to decline of the system as does creation of more efficient system . Progress does not happen as a choice but as an inevitability.
