It's really painful to watch when you go to war with someone and they occupy large chunks of your land with no resistance. You really should have a fort in the capital of every province.

If it was Italia or Greece then I would be bothered, but the areas that are getting occupied aren’t that useful to the empire yet so to me it’s not really an issue, yeah I lose a few pops but I gain a lot more from my occupations. But it is a fair point

A thought for the developers, is a city state polity still the same faction when it's epimonous city is lost? What exactly is Carthage without Carthage?
