Just have to comment. What a beautiful woman! Now please tell me, could anyone be able to tell from looking at her that she had all that pain in her past? With her demeanor and looks, you would have thought she had had the perfect life. God will make it to where you come out of the fire not even smelling like smoke. SO powerful! She is a living witness to God's mercy and grace!

I used to live in Birmingham, Alabama (where she lives) and we were in a small group together. This is only part of her story. A few years ago, her husband committed suicide in front of the courthouse (or the federal building?) The story was all over the news. She has really been through hell on earth.

Keep Leens Samuel, my wife in Prayers who need God's Healing Touch to have restoration of her calling..Isaiah 53.....we believe the report of the Lord Jesus Christ and not the scan report... Samuel Machado and Leena Samuel

Samuel, I stand with you in prayer for the healing and restoration of your wife, Leena Samuel. We lift her up to the Lord, trusting in the promises of Isaiah 53, which declares healing through the stripes of our Lord Jesus Christ. May the report of the Lord Jesus Christ prevail over any medical diagnosis. Heavenly Father, we bring Leena before you, asking for your healing touch to be upon her. We declare faith in your power to restore and renew. May your peace envelop Samuel and Leena during this time, and may they experience the comforting presence of your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

What does it mean to “serve Jesus for the rest of our lives?” Besides sinning less, caring for others, doing our best to become like Jesus.... what does this look like?
@TheRosaryGarden

I would say at the most basic level it is to start by praying to Jesus every day and during that prayer time trying to be still long enough to hear a response from Him. That way you are beginning to form a real life relationship with God. The more you do it the clearer the hearing the voice of God should feel. If you don't feel you hear Him tell Him about it. Ask Him to speak to you. Ask Him to show you the things He wants you to know. Read the bible every day. Ask Him to point you to passages that would speak to you. Keep it simple and don't ask too much of yourself that it becomes too hard and you give up. Even if you just read two lines a day from the bible it's better than nothing. Any foundation built on serving Jesus must surely begin with getting to know Him. That's just my opinion anyway to anybody who might want to know where to start. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Jo Jo That’s a helpful response. I became born again Aug. 21, 2018. Think I had the baptism of the Holy Spirit that evening. Had some dreams from God. And then in March the dreams stopper . I’ve been reading the Bible and praying. Less sin as well. Even stepping out to offer prayers to people. But sometimes I feel like it’s never enough... like He’s unplease-able (I don’t think that’s true.) I feel exhausted. I cry a lot about it and have started to resent God! It’s kind of you to say that I shouldn’t put too much pressure on myself. Maybe that’s what He wanted me to hear ....

aakk009 Hi love, first- I must commend you on the biggest step you’ll ever take in life- which is giving your life to Jesus! Congratulations on that honestly! Its the most beautiful thing you can ever do. I would also get into a good bible-based church. Have people around you that are Christians and in a Christ-like walk in their lives as well. It will help you. I also watch a lot of near-death experience videos on KZbin, lots of miracle stories and wonders. There are a ton on KZbin and it should help to build your faith. I am a regular person, but very Christ-minded in my everyday life. I try to do good when I need to but otherwise, I live my life. I pray to God inside of my head, driving or walking - you can pray whenever you want. I ask God all the time to show me what his will is and what he is trying to say to me... he talks to us more than you would think. The answer might not come right away or in that moment, but in a still small quiet voice he does answer and I always remember that he does. So just build a relationship with him that’s your own. My family are devout and very religious orthodox Christians and I am an orthodox Christian too but I have created my own relationship with the Lord. I go to a different church than my family, I pray differently and I still feel very connected and loved by the Lord. I’m not perfect and neither is anyone and Gods knows and understands that. Just talk to him through your issues and concerns and he will help you. Wait and don’t get frustrated and don’t resent him. You have to have the faith to know that he is God and that he has you in the palm of his hand and that he loves you, even if you might not understand or feel it. God bless you! You’re doing great! Xx

I find that by forgiving people you are giving them the power to hurt you again. They see you as weak, that they can keep on abusing you because you are stupid enough to forgive. They don't and won't ever feel they are wrong so forgiveness does nothing but make YOU look like a fool. I am speaking from a personal life experience. I do NOT forgive anymore. It does NOT bring comfort to forgive. Not in the least and I'm tired of hearing that it does. It's a just a copout.

@@joshijoe4425 I never got an inner peace with that person, I just feel stupid and used. I actually said to them, fine be that way, you'll just have to settle it with Jesus when your time comes. I'm done.

I hear your pain Annie. I understand how it can seem that forgiveness won't teach them of their wrong. But I learned this secret from Sister Joyce. Forgiveness is 'NOT for them'. It "is for us.' Forgiveness does not mean that what they have done is ok or that they can keep doing harm. It does not mean that they are not held accountable for the abuse. (Tell on them until someone listens. Get help and get yourself out of that situation.) Forgiveness is doing yourself a favor. Our bodies don't know what to do with it and it eventually causes some type of dis-ease. Forgiving them means we are not the ones judging them and we are handing them over for God to judge. In the natural, hand them over to the authorities. I've seen this happen multiple times - forgiving the person from the heart has had sudden turn in them, even if they don't know you've forgiven them. Unforgiveness is so heavy to carry. It is exhausting. It's harming you. Our unforgiveness towards them doesn't teach them anything at all. Be encouraged. Do yourself a favor.
