this is great to put all the hippy dippy wellness meditation folks in place ... In India this would anger the old budhist monks, all men, all regressive pack of hegemons.

And so the last man stood alone, the names of the greats forgotten, his gods and fathers dead. Legacy? The human spirit? Moral duty? All malignantly useless in the face of the infinite void and silence that follows. And so the last man knew himself. Silence.

Fantastic reading. Thanks I first learned of Julius Bahnsen upon reading The Conspiracy Against the Human Race and have since been intrigued by this latter day member of the high Pessimist era. To my knowledge, nothing of his work has been translated, expect what Ligotti quotes in his opening epigraph. Recently I discovered it again, this time in The Other Side, by Alfred Kubin. I wonder if Ligotti found it here, as I'm sure this is an influence on his own fiction, or at least a welcome affinity.

In my country we call ot "Anathma" not Annata athma means "Self " but bcz the words origin is in an Old language you can also name it as "spirit " But in the reality athma = self = spirit Anyhow , there is convincing evidence that Buddhas original teaching might have been changed throughout the years . This idea of rebirth and state of being a spirit between lives can be a concept injected into Buddhism by people , bcz how intolerable is the original Pessimistic buddhism . They created an Unachievable state of "Rahath/enlightened" and Nirwana to justify them leading a normal life like any person qho believes in an optimistic religion , which is the default belief system for humans

Buddhist enlightenment or Nirwana is a "Unachievable "fantasy state ,Buddhist "followers" made up to justify being Christinas , which is the default religion for Humans There is a high possibility that Buddha was asking people to stop reproducing

Bruh Ligotti literally Crap on Niztche on this one . Normal optimistic people (who know enough philosophy ) love to quote Niztche against Schopenhauer's arguments . Despite being a pessimist , I get baffled by the fact that how blind , ignorant and dillusional people are .
