I wish more people would be open to discussing conspiracy theories as concepts rather than thinking if you speak about them that must mean you think its true. The thing i find most interesting about them is how they surfaced in the first place. My brain cant comprehend the fact that a lot of these werent created as a work of fiction but by someone who genuinely believed in the story they told.
@Sammstar4202 жыл бұрын
agreed. thought experiments are good for you lol. like the first time i heard about flat earth theory. i knew it wasnt true, but i still wanted to know why other people thought it was true. and i gotta say alot of their arguments are very solid. if you choose to ignore the science lol. but seriously they almost had me until i went to the anti flat earthers lol and started hearing the facts.

Well, the reason that they don't is because of the whole CIA conspiracy theory psyop which I wish was a joke: basically a bunch of conspiracy theories after Watergate were created by the CIA to discredit the concept of a conspiracy theory and with the help of the media (who will jump on anything if it'll sell papers or TV licences) they convinced the general populace that not only were conspiracy theorists crazy, but also a threat to our democracy...
@J3diMindTrix2 жыл бұрын
'Conspiracy theory' was a term originated by the c.i.a around the 50s to discredit anyone who thought independently and didn't just buy mainstream media bs about 'no aliens it's swamp gas don't even think about it yall that saw crafts in the sky must be crazy' etc and discourage open discussion of ideas that don't match up completely with what the gov wants you to think. So yeah discussing 'conspiracy theories' or as they are actually and should be called, thought experiments or in some cases just historical fact that's been suppressed for certain reasons, is definitely a good thing and good for your brain and would have been absolutely encouraged in say Ancient Greek times by philosophers and free thinkers that western ideologies are actually based on instead of the ridicule that's the societal norm today. Let's de-stigmatise 'conspiracies' people and get people thinking outside the box again ! (Improving intelligence and reducing brainwashing and mainstream media proselytisation techniques)

@@Sammstar420 Modern day Flat Earthers often subscribe to a bizarrely extreme form of evidentialism. IE, "If I haven't literally seen it with my own two eyes, then it doesn't count as evidence". As someone who's worked and lived at a national park for a lot of years, they do actually take a lot of work to maintain! Animal interference (nests, bee hives, etc.), rock falls, land slides, injuries, bad weather, general maintenence, etc. can get at least certain sections of the park closed. And the rangers need to be there 24/7 to prevent crime and stuff, so if the park is closed they only need like maybe 2 instead of a squad 💖

Toxoplasmosis is interesting. I'm no conspiracy theorist by any means. I learned this while getting my degree but from what I taught, if it gets into a a mouse or rat, it actually makes them more susceptible to letting themselves get eaten by cats as the parasite thrives in a cat's digestive system. In humans, it supposedly makes them more reckless to varying degrees. One example is that in many motorcycle accidents, the motorcyclist has a high chance of having toxoplasmosis. I'm not sure about the whole "shaped civilization" theory but that's just what I know

15:18 About this. I am from Latvia and my friend went to this forest, she said that right as they entered the forest they felt this really bad energy and a really creepy feeling. In school we learnt in folklore that, many traditional funurals were done in this type of way, as of putting rocks on or putting tree brenches on the grave to signify some kind of way that the passing person wanted to rest. I think that really bad energy that the forest is giving odd is maybe beacuse of 'bad' people being burried there or maybe some kind of witch ritual was done there, because, we as latvians are a pegan people, so when witchcraft is mentioned no one is really suprised....

The fact that centrifugal and centripetal forces are part of the conspiracy iceberg just baffles me. Anyone whose ever ridden a bicycle ou motorcycle and has taken curves at high speeds (or even cars, if they're high or low enough to really be thrown around at tight curves), has felt how these forces interact with moving objects and understand them instinctively, to the point that if you have enough speed and space, you can make a turn with a bicycle without ever touching the handlebar. Or maybe that's an american thing, I wouldn't know. (Not american here, btw)

So small personal conspiracy, there's a Hotel in NC that had chess championship for kids about 7-8 years ago, real old building too. At one point a few classmates found an elevator in a corner looking for the bathroom. It couldn't have been more than five and a half feet tall on the inside and could barely fit 3 elementary kids and a parent. It look/felt as old as the building only had one floor and when you went to that floor it was empty besides a hallway like in poltergeist with never-ending hallway feel with 2 rooms. First one gutted office/social area that looked as if you clipped threw the world. And the other was a normal room with no working lights or windows just a tv playing old "Price is right" and a cart of ice and soda. No staff new what we were talking about the next day and we couldn't find it again.

No, it’s not. Nearly every “ancient” civilization ever active on earth had in-depth documentation of giant humans. Nearly every single one. Hate to break it to you, but people weren’t a bunch of dumb ooga boogas a few thousand years ago. It’s come into light within the past few decades that such assumptions are the height of arrogance, as we are constantly learning about just how far beyond our expectations of their capabilities they had soared. To bring it back to the point, if so many millions of people documented giants as real, living and breathing individuals, we have zero reason to doubt them besides skepticism for the sake of being skeptical. Normally, I can respect that just fine. However, to not only be so dismissive, but also disrespectful at the mere mention of something you believe to untrue, eliminates any credence you might otherwise have had.

@@GameForceV "The square-cube law states that as an object grows or shrinks in size, its volume grows and shrinks faster than its surface area-respectively. This law applies to any animal, since an animal that is twice as tall, compared to a similar animal, will experience the cross sectional area of its leg bones become four times as large, but have its weight become eight times as large. One’s muscles, bones and organs would not strengthen concurrently and as a result, their legs wouldn’t be able to support the weight of the rest of their body. This effect can be seen, to a degree, in the case of the 8'11" tall Robert Wadlow, who grew so tall he required leg braces and a cane to aid his walking as the pressure of his weight was far too great for his bones."
