The building just looks so weird in the sky. The amazing thing about the Twin Towers was that no matter where you stood, either Staten Island, Brooklyn or Middle Manhattan, they always looked the same and had the same massive impact. Because 1 WTC shrinks at the top, it has this kind of weird angles if you look at it from different corners. In fact it only looks good if you see it from the West Side on the Hudson River. I had rather wanted the Twin Towers to be rebuilt because they were so impressive, icons and represented what the greatest city on Earth stood for. "Dream no small dreams". As in Frank Sinatra's famous lyrics.

We all miss the Pre World Trade Center and the new one may not have the same charm as the old ones but it's much safer, stronger, aesthetically pleasing which most people don't want to admit, compared to the old towers, and more advanced in a technological and structural standpoint, the materials used to made into Freedom tower are outstanding and makes it the strongest building in existence.

+Jacob Forrest We perfectly understand that you say this if you haven't lived in NYC in the 80's and 90's and can't remember 9/11 and the impact it had if you were too young. But hey, everybody has their own opinion. I personally visited the Twin Towers in 1997 and they were absolutely amazing and stunning. Its beauty lay in the eye of the beholder. The message too. The WTC was the only project so far that was built with the intention of promoting world peace and cooperation. These arguments form the perfect base why the Twin Towers should be rebuilt. They were such an integral and beautiful part of NYC. They were truly icons. If you haven't watched the WTC Episode on Modern Marvels on the History Channel you should.

+Hotters 7060 I definitely agree. And during the whole rebuilding process between 2002 and 2006, when it was still in its early stages. I strongly objected to it every day. I was glad President Trump called out the earlier designs of One WTC as a piece of junk, because it was, back in 2004/05 when it was first revealed and several redesigns followed. Disappointed however, even though I always supported new Twin Towers and many others around me agreed and did too, they weren't considered and our voices not heard in the Fake News Media and by the decision makers. The whole view of the new WTC Project started to change once the final redesign of One WTC was revealed to the public and all the other buildings on the site. I had to admit they were nice. However it was disappointing to hear, with the ensuing Financial Crisis of 2008, inflicted huge delays for the project. So much that just One WTC and 4 WTC were going to be built and the entire project would not be finished until the year 2036 or something. Today the new buildings don't live up to the greatness of the Twin Towers either. You had such a huge opportunity and the best you could do was building a tower just as tall as one of the original Twin Towers but cheat your way in height by adding a 400 ft. spire on top of it.

1:20 Do you see the section near the top where the vertical lines are, the section that is not lit up with lights. Right above that area where the lights begin to shine again...THAT'S WHERE THE OBSERVATORY IS..... 1 WTC has a parapet which is basically a raised wall at the edge of the roof, the actual roof stops lower and the parapet is raised to 1,368 feet. The 1 WTC Observatory is located at 1,254 feet in the air, no where even close to the "roof height" which is basically just a glass wall...

You are absolutely correct. The outdoor observation deck on the original South Tower was at 1,377 feet and the indoor observatory was at 1,310 feet. The new 1 WTC has an (indoors only) observatory at 1,254 feet, no where even close to the Original Twin Towers...
