The problem I see with this type of aider is that you can’t move the aider with you. Two reasons why I see a lot of people looking for a moveable aider: 1.) Moveable Aiders allows you to remove it from bottom stick and use again as you climb onto the second stick. 2.) Most hunters don’t like things swinging around in the wind while you hunt. A moveable aider allows you to take it with you and place the aider into a pack while you are on stand/saddle. Your video does a great job at emphasizing this. When you have it hooked to the Hawk stick you can see how much movement the aider has while hanging in the wind.

We do see a lot of people leaning towards movable aiders and we see the reasons why. I do not sell any movable aiders because I refuse to sell anything I would not climb with. I have tried movable aiders and I feel so unsafe in them that I would rather carry the extra aider or two and feel safe. For movement in the wind, I usually bend down after climbing and fold it over the top (almost like when one sticking with the rope to pull the rope off the cam cleat). That prevents it from blowing in the wind pretty well. Then when climbing down you can just flip it down. There are some great companies out there that endorse movable aiders and make great products such as backwoods mobile gear, custom amsteel products, and many more but I feel as the owner if someone were to ask me to show them how to use a product and I did not feel safe myself climbing with it, then I should not sell it. But, If you did want to try this as a movable aider Dan at EWO and myself could make that happen. We could make the top step longer to hook onto the top of a stick and put either a string stop on it like the elastic on a back pack has or a couple castration bands to cinch it down. This option would not be perfect but might fit someone's climbing style. With how far the saddle hunting and mobile hunting communities have come its hard to find something that fits everyone and there is not one product that is the answer for everyone yet. I hope this helps with any questions or if you were possibly considering this for a movable aider. - The Amsteel Guy

You make a great point, I am partial to moveable aiders myself.

I was wondering if you noticed aiders like these causing issues while hunting with them flapping in the wind. One of my spots usually gets 10-15mph winds with gusts around 25mph. I worry with something like this will spook deer. I'm open to suggestions. I use hawk helium sticks.

Great job, nice aider. I built aiders for my Hawks and leave them on. Did you show what pack /s you use? Really like your videos. To the point .

This might be crazy talk but what if this aider was attached at a single point at the top and then one of these continuous loops sewn in hanging from a versa button. With a bungee attached to your saddle it could be like a CAYG aider with the ‘semi-auto’ benefits of the versa aider.
@SaddleHunter

That might be a feasible option. I’d have to test and see how open it stayed with the loops on the same button.

Hello, thanks for all your work getting videos out to us, I was wondering your opinion on cruzr xc vs archon. I am upgrading from my tried and true kestrel and have thought about trying a two panel saddle, I'm a bigger guy 6ft 215lbs
@SaddleHunter

Both are some of the most comfortable saddles I've ever used. Two panels take some getting used, but once you dial them in I feel like they give you more support in a variety of positions.

This aider isn’t adjustable like the UltimAider but it attaches easier. Both are good options, it just depends what you are looking for.

I have three on my wild edge stepps! Greatly reduces bulk in packing and instead of taking 6-8 steps, I find myself taking 3-4!
