The one word I'd use to describe his career would be "growth." His humor grew, his style grew, his music grew, and hell he's probably at least a little taller these days

It’s insane how sonically different every album he has is, especially of late. Even with the multifaceted mix of sounds and ideas, he still manages to make all of his projects cohesive.

Flower boy was the first time he made music that didnt rely on knowing his peronality. The older music i think connected really well if u knew his humour/personality and u knoew that his dark songs were just a joke. But flower boy was just straight good music, his first time having good music lol

Cherry Bomb was the turning point. His old fans abandoned/criticized him for talking about being successful instead of being depressed.
@TremilHD
@TremilHD 2 жыл бұрын
@@eddiew.4650 i don’t think it was CB i think it was FB for sure. FB was made at a very pivotal time in music. Rex Orange County, Brockhampton and the whole illegal civ was popping on the west & Asap/Awge was popping on the east. But Rocky’s distorted album kinda dropped the ball & Left the weirdo/alternative kids in the hands of Flower Boy. Overall, I don’t think it’s his old fans abandoning him, but instead it was a huge wave of new fans

@@TremilHD he’s for Coachella kids and apart of the woke people world. What’s crazy is that he was always like a rebel but now his old rebellious style is just what kids now like so he’s mainstream af. Mainstream Tyler is ehhh and less experimental.

@Bruhdawg69 2 жыл бұрын
His old music is better, more relatable experiences and harder hitting songs. Some of it does suck but I will always love wolf and bastard over flower boy or cmiygl. 48 is better than anything on cmiygl. There is my shit opinion.
@eddiew.4650
@eddiew.4650 2 жыл бұрын
@@Bruhdawg69 More relatable? I'm sorry, but not everyone has daddy issues or calls anyone who disagrees with them a f a g g o t. Tyler was a late bloomer who went through his edgelord phase 6 years after everyone else. And it shows since Wolf and especially Goblin are near impossible to listen to now without cringing.

I think one thing all tyler fans can agree on in all eras is how much Tyler has improved as a producer. Imo it's better than his rapping by a significant margin. Besides Kanye and Pharrell idk who's touching him in terms of pure range. He can give you rap beats, reggae instrumentals, rock instrumentals, jazz and soul and pop from all different eras of music with and without sampling.

I made it quite clear that i'm aware Tyler samples. 2.) "If he didn’t he wouldn’t be able to create a unique beat at all" His first 3 albums (Bastard, Goblin and Wolf) are all unique beats. Yassine back w another fire vid but it’s crazy how I used to get clowned for fw Tyler’s potential as an artist when he first came out dropping goblin and wolf and now he’s not anywhere near as controversial, in fact he’d be one of the safest picks of rappers people like now. I’m not complaining in actuality I’m glad that he’s gotten the recognition he deserves, regardless of how long it took.

Tbh i was a early tyler fan too but u cant act like getting clowned for liking his music wasnt justified. I’m saying in sonic cohesion throughout an album-wise. Cherry bombs tracks were mostly all great, the only problem was the songs had almost nothing to do with each other sonically. It’s a good appetizer platter for Tyler though, seeing almost his entire sonic pallet on one album. Metal, r&b, synths out the ass, rap, you name it it’s probably on cherry bomb.
