I loved it before actually, it was pretty nice. I think you are very creative and did a good job- I just didn’t like the weird optical illusion thing it was doing to my eyes. I couldn’t do something like this myself, but it doesn’t matter cause it’s your piece and you love it and you did a good job! 😊

I mean , it's not a preference for some but, it looks professional. I believe it's very bold and with a creative owner like herself,It would be a must have. With some people it's a "Everything must go" mentality. Lol it's OK to think outside the box. I saw a few ways I'd use it and what I'll add to it. Good job

Loved it the way it looked before. Had it been, just a simple refresh of the same color or light gloss. The door pulls were a nice choice. Impo, it looked mid century modern before, the redo. Sorry, so much work you put into it, but makes me think of the twilight zone, if I keep looking at it.

It's completely subjective as to whether or not you like stuff like this, personally I prefer the original wood. Some people think it's dated but it makes the room feel much more cosy.

It had some cool 60s Modren Midcentry vibes before which is really on-trend now but also timeless. Love the lines of this piece and the woodgrain although fake was lovely. I would have painted the frame at the most and kept the doors and top wood or given it a wash to lighten it up if possible to cool the orange and red warm tones. Now, this piece gives off a tacky 80s posh vibe that everyone tries to forget. In order for this piece to be useable one has to plan a room around it. Most people can't afford that. They want furniture that is more versatile in their homes. It's a high-energy and busy piece now and probably would be best in an office or near the exit of a home.

Why does something have to be in a bad condition to have someone want to repaint it? Sometimes people buy things for the shape of it or whatever because they have a design in mind for it. I buy brand new decorative/interesting shaped photo frames a lot and repaint them.

People start with something that looks dumpy and add something to make it look new... this one went from looking nice and new to looking old and cheap. My opinion!
