Another super cool set of ideas. I will typically layer effects and EQ on tracks when I'm doing stuff like that. Using a pre-packaged plug in makes all that business a lot faster!

Nice plugin, Bob!! For that kind of FX, I often use an old Akai DM13 microphone(I use a "normal" mic too for blending purposes or if I want to go back) to record the vocals and then, reamp trough a guitar amp(same setup I often use for harmonica). As I said last week... Dirtier is always better hahahaha As always, thank you Bob, I really enjoy your videos.

My Master Tape preset comes up with 63ms and a few other params different from what yours showed. Did you re-save? Mine would be more like a slap whereas you seems to be getting more tape saturation (etc) with no delays.

It happens and some people sound good on them. It really depends on the singer and the mic pre too. Give it a shot. Worst thing that can happen is you don’t like it… but what if you do like it! Ha. Try an SM7. They work almost all the time!

Bono insists on using one in the studio, and he prefers to hold it rather than use a stand. He has a preference for the Beta version I believe.

I don't know who records your vocal tracks but your mix eq curves always look so offside and gross. haha. I use the 'frown' face eq telephone lots for vocals, too, as an effect. Nice tip and cool presets.
