Highly doubt that… take a few teams for example like the kings in recent years, the heat the warriors, who all don’t have high draft picks year after year. Yet they seem to always build their young players into high demand prospects… you never know what you’re going to really get when you draft a kid to play in a man’s league. Some excel and elevate their game to the next level. Most don’t. And that includes many of the #1 picks year in and out

The 2025 Draft class will be historically good... There are at least 5 guys from next years class that would've went #1 overall this year if they had been eligible. Cooper Flagg dominating the USA Men's team, VJ Edgecombe put on a show for the Bahamas in the Olympic Qualifiers. Then you've got Ace Bailey, Dylan Harper and Nolan Traore from France. And that isn't even including others like Khaman Maluach a 7'2 center from South Sudan that is heading to Duke along with Flagg next year. He is a super raw talent but his potential is extraordinary and we're going to see him at the Olympics too. Long story short... That is why teams are tanking for the 2025 draft; not only is there a generational prospect at #1 there are a handful of others that will be incredible NBA players as well

Offhand, I can only think of one case where "tanking" set a team up for a huge future. That's when the Spurs managed to get Tim Duncan. BUT, there's a reason why I put quotes around the word "Tanking". The Spurs had a bleep-ton of injuries the season before and finished last. I think they set a record that year for number of player/games missed. Of course, the question: How many of those injuries were bad enough to keep players off the floor? Did they extend the injured guys' time on the IL to make it harder to win with what they had left? If so, did they start extending the IL time early in the season, or did they only do that kind of thing right near the end? Or did they just have horrible injury luck and finish last while trying to win? My guess is... We'll never know.

@lloyd5143 If you're an NBA all-star, you could average 40 in college. Put Tatum in the NCAA and he's scoring every time. If you're actually playing at the level of NBA all-stars, which this video claims Cooper flagg can do, you should be able to do that in the NCAA, and average nearly the same amount.

Cooper only has 1 flaw to his game, and it's his jumper. It's inconsistent, takes too long, and has a unique rotation that makes it concerning for the next level. Everything else is excellent, good, or okay. His athleticism is A+ and he's probably the best pure athlete in his recruiting and draft classes. He's a solid defender and playmaker. He's, currently, the projected number 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, which should create buzz around this class.

Nassir Little (#5-7 depending on where you look) was a top 10 recruit. Julius was #3 for 2013. Myles Turner was #2 and Cliff Alexander was #3 for 2014. Ben and Skal should be flipped for 2015. Jayson Tatum was #3 consensus for 2016. That’s just to name a few. I have just noticed within some of your videos that there are inaccurate graphics posted which can lead to misinformation. @gallici-anima-christiana6 ай бұрын
Well the Spurs have their own, Hawks non protected, the Bulls top 10 protected and the Hornets lottery protected. So if anyone has more chances at this point it's probably the Spurs, just because out of their four potential 1st round picks in the 2025 NBA draft, three of them have the chance to be lottery picks. Cause yeah the Hawks don't own their 2025 1st round pick and they basically can't tank because the Spurs have swaps on the Hawks 2026 1st round and they also have the Hawks 2027 1st round pick unprotected. And for the Bulls or Hornets it's tricky to tank because it would mean that the Spurs would get their 2026 1st round pick. So it's jackpot for the Spurs anyways. They have 18 future first round picks and pick swaps up to 2031, so in the next 7 years. And they're probably not done collecting... I also believe that Cooper Flagg overshadows other prospects in this draft, that are higly looked at.
