Lyrically, this reminds me of the Jam and their song Carnation as it's about the devil inside of us all, the devil that looks back at your reflection in the mirror. This is a brilliant tune, I'm going to buy the vinyl, cassette and cd too. Hell, I'm going to buy the whole friggen band lol.

Sounds like a live take, I love the rawness of it, and I'm one that love unpolished records. I really took to this record more than Sea of Mirrors as it takes me back to their earlier stuff. But, Sea of Mirrors has some brilliant tunes on it too. I just prefer this album as a whole.

Can anybody tell me what is The instrument coming on at the beginning of the last verse (1:44) ? Just an organ...? A special organ ? A mellotron ?? Hammond organ ?
@todareistodomyfoot840311 ай бұрын
Yes, it sounds like somebody is pressing keys on a piano even though it doesn't sound like a typical piano sound. It has to be a sound that was recorded from a particular instrument and then transferred onto something like a mellotron. For me the sound sounds like it's coming from a very tight string that's being plucked. I'm wondering if that sound was recorded from an electronic harp.

@@benjaminmigeot1749 I definitely feel like I've heard that sound some old classic western spaghetti movie from the past. It's for sure the itch you can't reach, very annoying not being able to figure it out.

1:44 sounds like an organ to me, maybe a Hammond or on a synth, with some sound effects like reverb.
