Worth mentioning that this game has lots of build variety. Do you want to be a CQB tank? Do you want to make kills have an 80% chance to make enemies run away out of fear? Do you want to be an archer who can hit multiple targets at once without aiming? Do you want to be able to spam crowd control abilities, whilst looking straight out of Bloodborne? Do you want to sacrifice normal blocking for parries being easy and extremely rewarding? Do you want to wear nothing but a towel?

@@motionpicturek Sorry for not responding sooner, I for whatever reason didn't get a notification. I cannot provide a solid "option A is better than option B" answer because you and I both have different gaming tastes as well as other factors I might not be able to think of here. Ghost of Tsushima is an open world game, so most of your time outside of the main objectives is wandering around on your horse. However, the open world is designed to lead you to certain activities e.g. structures on roads and smoke. The combat is balanced and rewards skill and good build crafting in the endgame. The stealth is another core focus, which favours both slow paced traditional sneaking around as well as faster approaches. It is possible to clear entire outposts without being spotted once with enough skill, but this playstyle can become repetitive. Most missions do not allow for pure stealth, so it is best used as a guaranteed way to get rid of enemies. The story is well written and believable, plenty of side quests and side content. It's a game best played across multiple days rather than speedrunning start to finish. This game does have difficulty options which you can change at any time, so pick based on your skill with the base mechanics and change if a build makes the game too easy. For Assassin's Creed, it depends mostly on which one you plan on buying. The Ezio Trilogy has a great story and is a good introduction to the series, but lacks in mechanics introduced later in the franchise. Assassin's Creed 3 is one I have yet to finish, I personally do not recommend this one from my experience because most of it was navigating from A to B without many opportunities to implement parkour. Black Flag is a good pirate game with an interesting story, good gameplay and environments. You would be right to call me a hypocrite for saying that I didn't enjoy AC3's A to B gameplay whilst this game is full of it, but the sailing mechanics and boat combat makes it less tedious. I have not played Rogue yet, but it looks very similar to Black Flag with a unique take on the Assassin's Creed traditional story. Unity has the best stealth, world and parkour but suffers in story and combat (also 30fps on PS5). Syndicate is another one I have yet to get fully into, but the removal of parkour to favour grappling ropes and horses and wagons ruined it for me (as much as I want to explore Ubisoft's take on 1800's London). Origins is the first AC to focus on the RPG mechanics and focus on mythology, but unlike the others this one somehow makes it enjoyable. Odyssey is arguably not even an AC game but instead an RPG focused on Greek mythology, and Valhalla is similar with Norse mythology and attempts to keep the story Assassin focused but feels like a bad crossover. Mirage uses Valhalla's engine, but has a decent parkour and stealth system with a decent world. It is let down by overly simplistic combat and questionable dialogue and story writing. In my opinion, Ghost of Tsushima offers a unique experience worth your £70 / 70$, but Assassin's Creed games (from Amazon or Steam of course) are cheaper and can offer some fun. As long as you think your money was well spend that's all that matters.

I just miss putting poison ricebowls down and watching the guards fall for it. The game holds up, and I just wish we could get a faithful successor to it. GoT is pretty damn close though! RE2 is incredible still, iconic music, settings, characters, moments, all of it, it sticks in my mind frame for frame

The correct way to play this game is by using Fundoshi armor, Avenging Lord mask, Tengai hat. And making a full stealth build, while implementing a lot of Tanto takedowns since the armor makes it so that you are silent when running. I also recommend using The Hidden Heart sword kit. It adds to the "goofiness" of the armor but also looks very clean.

I prefer stealth in all the games I play as well (if and when possible). As a PC only playyer, I can hardly wait to play this game, as it's my most wanted and anticipated console exclusive game of all-time. I will be doing a mix of stealth and in your face all out combat, but mostly stealth, I don't care if it ruins my honor as a samurai, because I'm actually a stealthy shadow Ninja, you fools... 🤣🤣🤣 My main objective is staying alive and slaying the hordes of enemies, by any means necessary and with any and every tool at my disposal. This will be one of those rare 2 to 3 thousand hour game experiences for me, like Skyrim has been, as one game example.

I LOVED this game. Platinum and everything. My wife has thousands (yes, thousands) of hours in Legends, the multiplayer part, and is still playing it almost daily. I don't think I'll pick it up for PC but I hope people give it a chance although it has a pretty standard open-world structure. It's stylish, cinematic and the story is really engaging. Interesting to see how you play it because I most played as a Samurai not as a Ronin. Walk through the front door, challenge guys and kill everybody in hand to hand combat.

Personally Deef, I'm grateful to playstation for bringing these games to PC for us to experience. I had the chance to play God of War & Horizon Zero Dawn back in 2022 and I cannot wait to play this. I havent played The Last of Us yet, but i need to get around to it. The last playstation console I had was the PS1 so i missed out on a TON of PS exclusive games. Last console overall i had was the Xbox one x and I sold it when I was getting engaged back in 2022. I'll eventually get these current gen consoles, but till then it's PC for me - so reallly grateful to be able to experience these games and for you sharing your experiences with them.
