I'm probably north of 50 hours in the game, after watching a ton of videos before, and many since I picked it up, but this is one of the better vids I've seen. It really captures the vibe like no others without having to explain. It really follows 'Show, not tell". I'm half inspired to go back to using the default weapons for a bit on maps I haven't played as much. Also, the voice filter and commentary was a nice touch.

I've always come back to your channel Deef. Main reason, being pure immersion as a result of the effort in your videos. The voice FX are a subtle addition, but hold great impact. Radio chatter, commentary on the world as you are IN it, not the player behind the keys. Fantastic way to play and a fantastic feeling to get lost in as a viewer. I know it may not be suited to your style or creative intent, but an immersive playthrough survival series of sorts is on my bingo card. Would love to watch you play through something with goals, objectives and watch every decision of the 'character in the story'. Whether you carve out the goals, or end up being dragged through a world. You really lend yourself to extended viewing. Will always watch your stuff, excellently immersive content and your hard work on them is tangible and elevates them to a unique level.

TBH, they should additionally do a game similar to Battlefield in this Universe that you can be this guy. All Unit Types are present and with mechs there could be a new component which todays battlefield games lacked until now.

Nah fam, me and my friends have 40+ hours in this game each and we're geared up with AA12's, Specter M4's, SVD's, MG34's, NTW-20's, 36mm Anti-tank, XM25's, and the Painless, and we still got roflstomped once we pull way too much aggro from the 3 warring factions. It doesnt matter if you just focus on one of the factions since if your priority hits the top of their shite list they will just send an APB to all of the factions and it just becomes impossible to escape. It doesnt matter how geared you become because you will never be "that guy", you will always be just a scav rat. And let me put it into perspective that we were 3 manning the map on this, we would never go this loud solo or even on a 2 man group.

Great gameplay, love the immersive voicework, that escape from mausoleum was INSANE. THe hunter killers ran into a Euruskan Grabber, terrifying to watch those Europans get flatlined on just the other side of the door, but what a stroke of luck!

4:38 This right here is the amazing thing about the aggro system. The “enemies” care more about each other than they do about you. Even though the fight was started by DEEF, they ended up fighting the other faction’s soldiers cause they think a trained soldier is more threatening than some scav nobody. It’s amazing.

You really show what the devs are trying to portray in this game. Which kinda got lost as players progress, got better gear and experienced, they can wipe a whole squad of soldiers really easy. I just hope they will up the difficulty as you progress when they finally release the game.

I myself prefer Mask Man and Shaman, Shaman because he is a jack of all trades, you can't really go bad with him, but at the same time you won't really get the most outstanding performance in anything, Mask Man on the other hand is a Gunrunner, he is the expert when it comes to tactics and weapons, which instantly made him my favorite character to play with, plus Masked Man looks just the best out of any other really.

Let’s not forget that this game pulls a State of Decay 1; that being the timer until your base’s water runs out and resets your progress STILL COUNTS DOWN WHILST THE GAME IS NOT OPEN. Play the game in the morning and get yourself an extra day of time, only to be scheduled for the next morning? Too bad, there’s goes all the progress you made

I mean in this one play session I managed to get over 2 weeks of water, so I don't think the water situation is bad, people have been blowing it way out of proportion. You don't even need to collect water, it's awarded with most quests.

I was lucky enough to find a KZbinr named Riloe, who work with the game devs as a sort of game journalist for four months now. And I can’t describe the feeling of finding someone talking about a game or topic before it takes off in popularity, and all I can really say is that I’m glad I found Riloe and that he is my introduction to Forever Winter, cause he definitely does the game justice in his videos. Funilly enough, this video is that got me to buy Forever Winter. And I’ve already been interested in STALKER already, while not wanting to deal with PVP games at the same time. The game, from the short time of playing it though, it’s decent. Main thing that’s getting me is the performance, chugging at a crawl even on low quality settings. Hopefully they fix that soon, as I do want to play it. And my computer isn’t 'that' old to begin with, considering it can run Helldivers 2, Starship Troopers: Extermination, GTAV, Cyberpunk, and Elden Ring just fine despite some quality issues.

So I've got this on ULTRA but I also have a stupidly strong PC, I've seen people on less insane computers running this on Medium and it looked genuinely the same, so drop it all the medium and cap your FPS at 60, no need for a high refresh rate on a game like this imo.

Guess il mess arourd with the settings again a bit and change to Medium, it looks indeed stil pretty good if you only running on medium settings. 60-80 FPS would be sure accepteble for this game i think.

I wondered the same thing. It seemed badass with the lore and everything that made the world what it was, but the game seems kinda dry with delivering on that lore. Don't get me wrong, game looks dope. But all the gameplay I've seen is just "save the pilot", "loot this", go here. O.k, but why? I get you're just trying to survive, but gameplay wise, that can get kinda boring. Anyway. Hope to see this game be dank. Edit. It's like a more grimdark version of destiny, with less pvp.
