I’m retired Military Police. One of my duty stations was a prison. This guy is reciting what they teach you at CO school🤦🏾‍♀️ The fact that he started at 35 and he’s overweight leads me to believe he probably worked Juvenile or the Camps. I don’t see them letting him walk through the high level prisons. Thanks for reminding people a lot of inmates never go back.

An apprentice of mine got 20 years for cocaine distribution. He almost never mentioned anything about his stay in prison. He made it out and got into the construction industry and is now a successful journeyman. I worked with him for years and found that he decided to work on himself and become a better person. Had another friend that had the same circumstances. He came out and became a skilled tradesman and makes good money. Yes, people can be rehabilitated.

Former correctional officer here from Maryland, I worked at MTC specifically which was in the same Prison complex as the Baltimore city Jail that was recently closed. What you said around the 8:00-9:00 minute mark is absolutely false. One Inmate got I think it was 10 different correctional officers Pregnant, which was a major reason that one specific jail out of the Four on the complex was closed (It's actually connected to the other three funny enough lol). Inmates have relationships with correctional officers all the time, hence why all the stuff gets bought in. It's the same as it is in the streets: Men with game will always have women, regardless if they are in prison or not.

I am a retired CDCR CO Iworked Calipatria State Prison in 1994 to 1997, and Donovan from 1997 to 2022. I believe this dude was a CO but was wrong about certain races calling up together. I know that we have accidentally celled up different races together, but it is usually corrected after the count clears, and not common at all! We have even unofficially moved inmates into cells without getting it properly registered at Central Control. Better to deal with an inmate in the wrong cell with his own race than a cell fight! We have made mistakes but we ask the inmates to be respectful and let us put in the proper bed move, a good working relationship with the Central Control Sergeant or Officer is golden for any housing unit officer. It is easy for anyone being interviewed to put a 10 on a five. I have never been interviewed, but if I am interviewed about my experience I pledge to keep it real!!
