I know its not as economical -- but I bet MANY people are interested in what it would cost to build an absolute starter home (very needed in the US by many). I bet you would get a lot of views building a conservative 2/1 starter home and documenting the process and costs ect. Cheers.

I'd be interested in hearing about your experience working with the design team. Like what were some of the initial requirements (e.g. square footage, design styles, outdoor space needs, finishes, budget) or maybe some of the setbacks and challenges with the design.

does you course go into detail about permitting as well as the inspections in detail when and what to do when your ready to inspect as well as when to inspect during each phase, also dope video man im going to build my first house here maybe in the next 6 months ive been watching all your videos cant wait to see the finished product also that framing cost per sqft is wild

Word to the wise, I would not use spray foam insulation in very hot and humid states going forward. Spray foam creates a moisture barrier which leads to the house “sweating” similar to what a cold glass of water does on a hot day. I’m from Louisiana and have learned this from building houses

Nice, breakdown. Working in finish carpentry, we order our supply or pick up here in Houston mostly from Mason's Mill & Lumber Company Inc, Montalbano Lumber and BMC Bison.

Since it will be a rental and you want it to be durable, have you considered using alternatives to wood for the structure? Concrete block, insulated concrete forms (ICF), airated autoclaved concrete (AAC) block, etc?

I have a question for anyone that knows construction! When asking for bids for building your home, do you just send full plans to each subcontractor or do you just send the specific plan such as only sending plumbing plans to plumber etc.

:30 seconds into the video and I bet a question that alot of people have. How were the original funds provided? Was this cash in hand from your first home? You bought a plot of land for 54k, this one cost 27k, is this 27k loaned? Or bought out right? Along with the rest of the build, financed via loans or payed for up front? Maybe something people may be curious about if they’re trying to roll into this similar market. Most people don’t have 5k in there savings an may be a motivator for some. To realize it just takes hard work like you’re putting in. Keep up the grind brother 🤙🏽👊🏽

Rich people buy assets. Poor people buy liabilities. Middle class don’t know the difference. Never work for money Have money work for you. Never borrow money that you have to pay back- get the tenant do that. Always buy positive geared property then clam negative gearing on them.

This is near the Woodlands, one of the fastest growing communities in the Greater Houston area right now. He did great to get the lots for that price!
