I remember coming across Count Arthur several years ago at a residents meeting. It was being held in order to develop a strategy in order to get rid of an undesirable neighbour. In the end Count Arthur accepted a payment of 22.50 and was never seen in the area again. Count Arthur did however keep in touch. So far I've sent 184.75 but the begging letters show no signs of stopping. Whilst on a shopping trip to Lewisham I did bump into someone who looked remarkably like Count Arthur. I was told in no uncertain terms to push off and go bother some other resting variety star. Upon alighting, the cabbie drove off with my shopping shouting "I'm only taking this lot by way of compensation, so don't come it". I suspose it wasn't him, I really do.

thats interesting,i dont think arthur ever mentions his marital or former marital status.perhaps in the second tv series we will find out more!!
