Francis Toupin permutation with repetition is just a special case of the counting principle in counting principle the number of choices in the first choice not necessarily the same with the subsequent choice but in permutaion with repetition it has to be the sane

If you look at the problem carefully, you will notice that you are basically just arranging 6 programs and then splitting it in half. Therefore, the answer is 6! which is = 720

Your explanation for the fundamental principle of counting was awesome as well as your explantion for permutations. But your explanation for combinations, specially about what does it mean the term "r!" in the denominator of the formula of combination was not that great as the last explanations. Anyway, thank you very much

ANDRÉS MUÑOZ SALGADO i think the explanation for r! will be : since you picked r things the number of ways to arrange those r things will be r! because there are r things that could go to first slot r-1 in second slot and so on until 1 way in the last slot thus r! arrangement of the r things but we dont need those arrangement because it is combination so we just divide it
