The Cowlitz River Gives Up A Monster STEELHEAD

Me and my fishing buddy Brian hit the Cowlitz River in Mike's boat in search of Steelhead and possibly a Spring Chinook. The river was not as crowded as usual and we did manage to land one huge Steelhead buck. Weighed in at a whopping 14lbs 12oz. Another awesome day with friends doing what we love to do, FISH!

With all due respect, those fees are not ridiculous. You are blessed to be in Washington and so many wonderful fish and game options and be able to participate in them all. I lived in WA for about 9 years totally miss all of the fishing options.

I hear that from people. I guess it's all subjective. I remember buying combo hunting fishing licenses when you could hunt either side of the mountain for deer and elk with no additional fees and use either rifle or bow. You didn't need a crab endorsement or all the extra passes to access public lands to go hunting and fishing. Thanks for watching.

Was $119 for fishing license, second rod validation, salmon and steelhead report card for me in california this year. Then 2 deer tags and a bear tag plus hunting license was about $190 last year not including upland game validation for birds or duck validation. It's not cheap to harvest your own food anymore, but we do it for the fun and memories anyway.

There is something weird about Google or cell phone system because I am grilling steelhead while I watch youtube and this is on my feed. I have not searched anything on steelhead and this just pops up after watching some upcoming boxing fight videos. If it is not coincidence then I would say something is detecting barcodes without me knowing it. I am not even a conspiracy theorist.

I bet some lures like big mepps or some kind of spinner would get them steelhead . I image they see so many of them bobbers floating above them they realize not to hit anything floating under a float the water is pretty clear and fish have great eyesight . Probably hundreds of fish being floated over in the north west the way people fish with bobbers 90 percent of the time lol

Do you even kill cougars ? Like really people shouldn’t even be killing cougars . Like they need left alone so little amount of them left compared to deer and wild game in the woods . Hence all the deer that damage vehicles constantly.

Cougars are predators. Deer population is controlled by hunting. You don't need Cougars to control deer. Cougars dont have a predator that eats them. People eat deer. If there are alot of deer then the dnr should issue more deer tags.

Just like wolves are extinct almost all over us same with cougars because humans murdering them all. Plus destroying all the habit for cows putting shit literally in streams and also kills the fish ruins the streams. Nature and wildlife are great on their own without us murdering everything that moves . Believe me their is more than enough deer to hunt to eat. And cows taking up all the wildlife’s space ruining our rivers and streams . If you can’t see that go outside and smell farm .
