We sang that old song in the 40's and 50's at the Enterprise Baptist Church in Westwood,..near Ashland. Ky. Love gospel singing, sang in a quartet in the Ashland area.

Oh my goodness....An early picture of the Peasau Sisters at about 2:00, just before they came out and performed In the Highways and the Hedges. Nice version of the old gospel song Will There be Any Stars in My Crown, written by a Presbyterian woman before that denomination slid into to apostasy and unbelief and no longer represents Christ.

So, too, the same mouth cannot, in truth, pronounce curses and also sing the praises of Yahweh, our Mighty One. As such, I concur that it is counterintuitive to use profanity in reference to a gospel song.
