Disney’s The Fox and the Hound is basically this same story (for the fox). But in case you haven’t seen it yet, load up on tissues and Gatorade for rehydration replenishment before you watch because it a doozy of a tearjerker.

When I was little I loved the Fox and the Hound but whenever I pulled out the VHS to give to my mom to put it on, she’d exclaim “oh no no we are not watching this one today!” 😂 I once asked her why she bought the movie in the first place if it made her so sad and she said “I thought it would just be a cute story about a fox and a puppy!” To this day she refuses to watch it for fear of turning into a blubbering mess. But it really is a great movie with a lot of tough, but important, lessons baked in.

I have a 20 year old daughter and a 12 year old daughter and I completely understand that big sigh close to the end. As mothers we just never stop worrying about our kids and we almost can't help but get pulled into their things even when they are out of the house. I absolutely loved seeing Flower and George Clooney and knowing there are people out there that will go out of there way to help these poor creatures. My father has been a Ferrier for 45 years and still going strong. His clients see him in such a positive light - and it is really amazing to see people think so highly of your parent. I wanted to add as I was watching this awesome story unfold, I had my rescue dog, Mac at my side. As I was petting his warm fur, I could imagine you petting Flower. We got our boy with a crushed leg and mange so bad we weren't sure he was a "dog" at first. He turned out to be this beautiful little red spotty cattle dog and he reminds me of a coyote. He has managed to live 13 years and is going strong with his little gimpy leg. He has not let it slow him down at all. I wish the same for your special baby, Flower. I'm sure she (and George Clooney) will have fabulous adventures together. You were meant to find her and get her back on her journey. ❤️❤️❤️

Aw, thank you for this, Ellen! As for my mail care, it’s so easy! I just go every 3 weeks/or once per month for a manicure. They put a heavy gel coat on which keeps them strong. (Otherwise they’d break!) 💅🏼

You remind me of my mom and grandma so much, they both have/had such a compassion for animals that they passed on to me and my sisters. This story, especially, reminded me of my grandma, who worked closely with Wolf Park in Indiana for decades, and met many a coyote like Flower and George.

I live near a large cemetery in Toronto. I go there to feed the wildlife whenever I can. I see a few coyotes and they look so emaciated. I wish that they would come closer so that I can feed them but they are so afraid of people. (and rightfully so). My heart goes out to these poor animals.

Aww...you can leave food out there for them. The rescue people told me to make a noise every time I come, like a low whistle or clapping. Not a voice as they are naturally afraid of them. Then they get used to that noise and the ensuing food. (Think Pavlov!) ;o)

I had a dog that made friends with a coyote & had a litter of coydogs. The coyote ended up taming down & he'd let me pet & love on him.

That was kind of you to help Flower, she was blessed to cross paths with you Jeannie. Life is not just a random series of coincidences, things do happen for a reason. PS -I worked on a film with George Clooney - he had to leave the production for a few days to attend the Academy Awards - and he won an award - when he returned, on his first day back on set he passed the Oscar around to the crew and cast so we all could hold it - it was heavier then I would have imagined - that was a really nice gesture on George's part to share and include us - behind the scenes he is a very down to earth, easy going, nice gentleman.

I love this story. She looked so dehydrated in the car, but at the end she looked very hydrated and healthy. We get coyotes round my part of California sometimes, but you usually see them at night. The drought has brought them closet to neighborhoods. All the animals are thirsty here.

Oh my Gosh ! I cried for that.. animals are amazing and way much better than some humans .. I wish I can adopt all the animals and just live with me forever.. I have cats and dogs on the streets in my city ( it's normal thing in Egypt) every time I walk next to them I say " hi kitty or hi doggy" I love these creatures ❤️ you are so sweet honey ❤️♥️😁

Beautiful and heart warming story. So glad you shared it with us. Flower really is a beautiful girl. A little tip relating to the second part of your video-when showing things to camera for a close up put a magnifying glass (spy glass? 🔍) in front of the camera lense and then you don’t have to reach as far and it stays in focus better.
