What up! This week we talk about capitalism and the impact of it. We also discuss racial profiling and how it has effected us. We also touch on family dynamics and being the "first" to achieve something in your family. Always the questions.

CP you a real one for this episode. I was raised by boomers who did not go to college and only encouraged me and my brother to get a good job and take care of you family and responsibilities. Can’t be made at them because they did a tremendous job at providing for us even spoiling us but there is so much more to life and I didn’t realize that until I was a grown adult with children. I also suffer with self doubt because of how my mom approached life. I try to encourage my children to shoot for the fucking stars and let them know I support all their dreams.

CP this episode was needed ! I’m glad yall put it out. This was straight up holding court, and when I say the older generations doubts/fears have delayed some ppl from getting in their bags… if even destroyed some of the cousins/people greatness that we would’ve experienced & seen. So thank you again for putting this out. Maybe it’ll give somebody that understanding that we only here for a short time, make it happen or live with that regret of always thinking “what if”.

I’m the first in my family to go to college too, and finally at 29 years old I’m in my first year of medical school. I know what you mean about our dreams looking impossible to our family members. The best thing to do is to find the confidence and the faith in ourselves to keep going. I’d rather do my best and fail, than regret not going for my dreams.

CP, I feel where you’re coming from in regards to slavery movies vs real life, but read some of the actual accounts and stories from slavery and you’ll never even think of saying that shit again. American slavery was some of the most gruesome, wicked times in black history. From mutilating children to killing fathers in front of their families. There is no equalizer

30:02 I say this too especially about the civil rights era. They made us look hella weak, yet we got legends like Herman J. Russell who built damn near all of Atlanta & he was the financial backing behind the civil rights movement

I like guests, but prefer when it's just the usual suspects!❤ Funny enough, a few months ago, CP brought up that parking lot he saw full of the old 60s cars, thinking maybe they were stuck in time...then Maye & Aamir point out it was likely for a movie- I think that movie was the one he referenced at 24:11😂😂

Flying is loud. And it takes a lot of down force. Imagine if every car at the stoplight around you was a mini helicopter. It would be loud and windy AF. That's the biggest problem. We can't create lift outside of rocket, jet, or propelled propulsion.

33:11 Powerful stuff. Every year of enslavement was met with resistance. It's an aspect of the slave trade that, by design, rarely gets acknowledged because it makes enslaved people look human, and not like fodder. Who knows how long until the maroon societies become household history

The realest talk at the end ever living your life 4 some one else so you don't get the flack and going by the rules cause they say you suppose to live like this and that working a job u have to force urself to get up and do only to get paid and give it all away. Now gotta wait 2weeks to get it back and repeat. This ain't living 😢 I commend y'all on doing Wat y'all wanna do in life. Even tho I'm thankful for having a gig/job I'm miserable. U ask to borrow a few dollars and it's u bumming And this is from family, but Im always the one that looked out for fam. The homies ECT.

Also, i don't think the slaves like Sam Jack in Django fell in love with the system. I think it's more of everyone doesn't have the foresight to see what can be or something different. So, to them, slavery was how life is supposed to be. Not to mention, they saw the consequences of going against the system.

The exact specifications of chattel slavery were horrors too dark that will never be told .But Cp is right the context of slavery was vastly different than they tell us for psychological reasons .The first north American slaves were poor homeless white Irish children and prostitutes and destitutes of the streets of Europe and they Mostly had black owners .Black slave masters were in place until the so called end of slavery ,so was every black person a slave ?No Most of the chattel slavery we have account of are from victims of land and wealth robbery from the newly crowned “white class “which now includes Irish who were not considered white until they joined the poor black indentured servants (slaves)and almost toppled the country in the potato revolution. Then laws were passed were no born white man could be considered a slave .hmmmmm can you smell what actually happened.on the surface .the rich vs poor but really fueled by ancient racial doctrines which have also monetary incentives
