From the outside looking in, it didn’t feel like he played badly at all, he just didn’t fit into the team well and wasn’t able to develop that synergy he needed. TSM was pretty much forced to pick Xayah rakan every game due to the god awful synergy that dardoch had with bot lane

I think Kobbes point about coaches in the game is that none of them really has like any at all knowledge or any real skills in how to teach and really communicate how to talk to their players. Look at a coach more as a teacher and a mentor-esq figure would make a whole lot more sense than just someone saying, this does not work, you need to work on this and that like in a real life sport because successful coaches understand the didactical points about teaching and learning their vision about their game and their plans. This is something for example Reapered does really well in how he thinks about the meta atleast from the outsiders perspective and he listens and tries to optimize what picks both suits the meta as well as the players as well as his own vision about the game. If coaches are the issue for TSM and how to do things, force coaching staff to take some form of rhetorics class or something along the line on a community college instead of wasting money everywhere. It seems like a pretty easy fix in my world since the org is just dumping money on someone and screams fix this garbage

But I think that part of the problem is that the game is still relatively "new" when compared to sports that have been around for 100+ years. While in NBA & NFL the standard is a 40+ yo coach with 20+ years of experience, League of Legends is too young to have that.

I love TSM and FNC, what's painful to hear is what's so obvious to see, and that is that Fanbases are really horrible to have when they are obsessed. I'm obviously wanting them to succeed, get the wins and titles, but not the Org themselves, the players. I want to see the players, who I've, over the years, seen do some amazing things. I'll always love when Bjergsen carries on signature picks, or Bwipo wipes top lane on his carries, I enjoy watching BB do BB things i.e. winning the teamfight and Hylli run around like a headless chicken and winning/losing the game. These are either the hype moments that you know you'll remember, or the bittersweet heartbreak of a wrong move that you know will hurt them more than it does you, because you're just the bystander. All in all it's about the players, wanting them to succeed and do well. I guess branding your organisation comes at a price of players wellbeing.

I knew something was wrong at a communication level. You can see it in the plays he made. There was always something weird about Kobbe in teamfights. he would randomly be doing things right and then wrong and then right. Now it all makes sense. They way trying to change him culturally and that's where they fucked up. All that talking split his attention. TSM really messed that up. It's also kinda funny they eventually benched Bio for Treatz and look a lot better. Weird. Why would you hire two quiet guys and ask them to talk?
