Lux had kind of an Elvis meets Frankenstein meets a vampire in drag kind of look. One of the greatest rock performers and legends. RIP

WOW ! I`m well jealous , The Cramps were so cool and they had a good, cult fan base here in the UK. I wore my Smell Of Female T shirt with pride , telling people it was a scratch and sniff T shirt. I even got refused a pint of cider in one pub as the bar maid found it offensive.

Words of wisdom and so eloquently put. Can't get enough of the rock and roll from the 50's to the present. I recently discovered the great Roy Loney's solo albums. He was the front man of The Flamin' Groovies.

Lux: "I know people who are 18 who are old and boring..." That was me, but I was a Cramps fan of some kind... Never bought an album, but recorded them off college radio all the time... Still have their songs in my head, after 35 years...

What Lux said about living the part was exactly what they did. It seems almost incomprehensible that these two found each other and yin-yang'd so perfectly into an impossibly cool couple. As sad as it is that Lux died, I feel worse for Ivy. The loss..

This Welshman is gonna keep the spirit of Lux and the Cramps alive here in the South Wales valleys of the UK. Just ordered my Psychedelic Jungle t-shirt which I will wear with pride in the face of all the fierce opposition from One Direction fans to Beyonce clones and, worst of all, Sheeranites and Bieberites!

I saw the cramps live when I was 16, and before the show we got totally fukin wasted, and me and my girlfriend were getting it on in the burger king bathroom, and we got to the show and they came on and I was down in the pit and got punched in the face, no big deal, and I was watching this show with a bloody lip and havin the time of my life, pretty much everything he's sayin here is the absolute truth, we were just out there to go completely crazy on it

Huge fan of The Cramps here, i heard lux say in this interview that they are not interested in playing 50s songs, but a portion of their work is covers of songs from 50s, granted they always had their own material and i love their 50s songs reinventions, i just wonder if he said that because it was 90s and they had fewer covers and more original songs as i remember, just curious because i was a bit puzzled, hope someone can give their opinion on this, long live The Cramps!

I think that Lux Interior would have made a great Herman Munster or a stand- in for Boris Karloff and I think that he would have considered it an honour that I thought of him in that vein. Humble, self-effacing guy and sadly missed!

The "sexual intercourse" of so called Rock and Roll became a sellable product, that was the problem, but I know he is talking about something much deeper, something missing from mainstream music today. He is definitely right about adulthood being a huge con though. Bang on.

As Lemmy would say every time Motörhead took the stage “We are Motörhead and we play Rock ‘n’ Roll”. So many great bands are rock n roll, for example early AC/DC with Bon Scott, early, Guns and Roses even early Metallica. Hawkwind, JJ Cale, New Model Army, John Lennon, George Harrison, The Stone Roses and the Strokes to name but a few,
