My favorite song... well certainly one of them. I was fortunate enough to see the Cramps several tines times over the years. I never saw a better show or had a better time at a music event. They are sorely missed and deeply loved by all their fans

One of the better shows I've seen too: from first note people were jumping up and down with smiles on their faces

The music in this song is based on Howlin' Wolf's song, "Smokestack Lightning", which has been the basis for numerous other songs such as Sanford Clark's 1956 hit, "The Fool". It's not just where the music came from, it's what people do with it. The Beach Boys' "Surfin' USA" was a brilliant rewrite of Chuck Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen" which was a brilliant rewrite of Clarence Garlow's "Route 90" which was a rewrite of a Cajun tune. It's not just where you got it, it's what you do with what you got...Hank Williams turned an old Cajun tune into "Jambalaya" which the inimitable Fats Domino was happy to record...etc...etc...etc...

13 years ago...when Poison Ivy was figuring out how to play guitar in the 1970's they had just introduced the "touch tone" phone that ran on copper land lines. Nokia didn't make phones until a bit later. Rock in Peace Lux Interior (named after the optional interior of the Chrysler Cordoba or some such 1970's U.S. land barge car).

howlin wolf smokestack lightining was where the groupies borrowed the guitar rift from, the original version by the groupies makes this cover of their song primitive not worth bovering with tho,its so much better its hard 2 put in2 words, but i will drummer yr lame guitarist yr a puppet n yr solo was weak, the vocal is really weak as well, get the groupies, the bass the drums the vocal n guitar r all superior, sorry but all u did was copy it badly.
