Friday night. Needed to vent out, badly. Stumbled across a vid of The Cranberries - Complete Concert (Live in Chile 2010). Downloaded. Watched it restlessly, and was struck by these two songs. Right brain activated. Felt better afterward.

What an epic performance by the always beautiful and lovely Dolores and the Cranberries. They were in top form, looks like none of them wanted the song to end!! You know learning she was bipolar and growing up with a bipolar parent... it finally clicked. She spoke to that part of me that words just couldn’t or wouldn’t express and always managed to voice whatever it was I going through in a haunting, comforting, and sometime heartbreaking way that only someone who has been through it could know... but even the heartbreaking was a comforting refuge... like only my parent could be. I smile because I know she has peace of mind and for that incredible gift she gave the kids of parents with MI.
