​@Lalealyn I'll agree to disagree, I'm a Scot living in Ireland for years, my fathers side on the Isle of Skye only spoke Gaelic. What you are referring to is more the haunting Gaelic lilt of traditional Irish/Scottish singing, i tend to sing that way myself when I am in the car lol. Zombie was more like a cry of anguish, which was what the keening style of singing was also a bit of a yodel in there too, it fits with the content of the song and how the Irish have felt because of the war to retain the rights to the country while being made to look like terrorists in the process.

@Lalealyn Glad to hear it I call it Gaelic pronounced Gallic in Scotland. Nearly identical to Donegal and Derry.Chsnges dramatically even in different counties of the republic due to collocqiallisms and accent . Youd probably say Duv for Dubh , Scottish Gaelic would be the same spelling but pronounced Doo or Dooa. Mhairi would be Varry. Interesting 😊

I'll never forget a time I was belting this out at the top of my lungs in my car. At a stoplight I closed my eyes cuz I was trying to sing so loud. When I opened my eyes, the people in cars around me were cracking up & that's when I realized my windows were down. And I *KNOW* I'm a terrible singer, so... Yeah.
