I tend to do a "high yo-yo", i think its called. if i see it turning into a circle fight, i basically roll a tad bit so i get a bit of a higher angle on the enemy, and if they dont notice you, you might be able to get a drop on them, or even get completely behind them I noticed a lot of times, just chipping away a few hit points in a dogfight is enough to quickly make them unsure and break out of the circle, making them easier to hit Another way, if they're particularly hard to fight, is to try to fly over to friendly ares, like nearby vehicles and such to try to distract or let them or find friendlies to help you take down the other plane

The feeling isn't the same anymore because Bf3 was still a game with competitive support like Clan match Servers and Battlelog with platoons etc. But 2042 dogfights are very fun and and skill ceiling is also high trust me bro.

Oh man this like watching maverick vs iceman. Right away I’m just like oh man he’s good. The way he’s cutting those angels to take away shots where you just really don’t have a line on him and you’re forced to rely on hitting him as he’s passing you is insane because at that point when you’re so evenly matched in a dogfight it’s feels like it’s just guna be a battle do attrition. Another thing like you say at 1:26 before even seeing who wins or loses this engagement you can’t deny this is masterful maneuvering because for a sec you do get a line on him but he knows exactly how to take that away. Anyone that’s played jets in a battlefield game knows it’s not all about how much damage you can dish out our how many kills but just can you make life an absolute hell for rival pilots and ground forces. What a great vid very fun to watch the pros go at it!

I find that speed control and knowing locations of threats really helps. You do need to take risks sometimes but I don’t always go full throttle especially if I’m behind someone and in range to hit them. Full throttle to escape after a strafe or flare is wise though.

I've just been using the panther last couple of days and I'm getting pretty good at dogfighting other jets, taking out the odd Heli especially transports and also taking out ground vehicles. I'm still a while off being able to accurately track infantry though but the most fun for me is dogfights anyway

It's a fun vehicle but in some regions like OCE it's unusable because everyone and their mother uses Lis and are decent with the recoilless 😂 And there's ALWAYS that one guy waiting for their favorite streamer to get on so they can sit in a railtank and shoot them down

@@Elvy3358 trust we have no issues dodging 1 or 2 Lis missiles But you aint dodging 6 at a time Especially against some of the best Lis players in the game that dont have issues hitting nightbirds If a rail tank is bad yea usually you could just fly to the skybox and kill them. But occasionally there's people that will just pixel spawn camp (aim right where your aircraft spawns and wait with a timer and kill you as soon as you spawn in) Or just ramp up on a tiny hill allowing them to aim at the skybox

He is playing with 3p cam on as we seen from his POV and thats a bad setting for dogfighting,Silk has so much better vision aganst him But that guy cleanly one of the best jet players its facts, but yes just cuz someone good in dogfight not means he is good against infantry and being efficient for the team

As a pc player I use controller for jets. I use mouse for infantry and heli. Mouse jet I found alot harder for the more continuous turns and pulls. Having to reset mouse position can mean death in dogfights.

He has mentioned using keyboard for ailerons. I use this method now along with binding afterburner to w key. It takes some getting used to, but can turn so much better than with mouse only.

Maybe the reason is you play with 3P camera on and thats make the gameplay 'slow' turn it off and you will feel your Jet so much'faster' because the better vision 6:11 with 3Pcam roll for me the gameplay seens so much slower than Silk's pov And of course Aircraft sensitve 100%

Wish they would setup the aim assist in vehicles seperate to infy like in BFV. I barely run aim assist as infy but in jets you have no choice because of the mechanics.

Its not that bad killing infantry with controller, i thin its harder to find the best settings for it, you need the 100%aircraft sensitive and that makes the zoom aim difficult for us, but when used to it its become fine. But if you have time my last uploaded video here is a 36-0 on this map with the F35 and i also play with controller but its just 64Player conquest because PS4, sure i have to practice yet but i think we can play like PC players just need to put in really hard work The annoying thing in controller is cant Pitch and roll the same time correctly.

Cuz 30 mm overheats too fast + it has a huge bullet (or shell or round, whatever) spread, and deviation while you pitch the jet. If you will combine it with delays in controls, you will struggle to hit anything, especially in headons.
