5 and 6 should be horror novels Gale wrote inspired by the Ghostface murders, as her true crime career has been put on hold due to a lack of killings. They could even bring Dewey back st that point, and have him be upset at Gale for killing off his character. It would be perfectly meta and better explain why none of the characters from 5 and 6 are returning

Chad being the opening and them switching the narrative to Sidney would be confusing to fans lmao. It'd also piss fans off, showing Chad and killing off, and fans asking why isn't Mindy, Tara and Sam getting avenge for a member of The Core Four getting the knife? This theory would feel like a middle finger to Scream 5-6 and Radio Silence's Scream. The best way to use Chad, and if Jasmins' announcement is that she's returning to Scream, I see them towards the final act, maybe telling Sidney that The Core Four need their help. Something like that leaving it off with a giant cliffhanger. I DO believe that Jenna will return to Scream as long as she gets paid. Tara is an amazing character and her story is unfinished imo. I believe that Tara could be a big cameo at the end. It switching gears to New York showing another Ghostface attack and Tara & Chad.

The thing is, I really liked Scream 5 seen it a few times which it still holds. Just watched scream 6 for a second time and I found to really disappointing. It had some good moments but it didn’t quite nail the landing. Although I’m more excited for scream 7 and perhaps it could serve as a true sequel to scream 4. Having Chad as a potential opener would be symbolic and set the tone to going back to their roots.

It's too predictable and a slap to the face if he's killed off in the opening. If he surprisingly is able to kill his attacker, THAT, would definitely be the twist fans wont be expecting. I think this movie has potential to take new and greater risks because all the other sequels are just repetitive. Something new would be like killing off one of the ghostfaces during an attack, having one or more killers be caught or get away, not have the third act be the same with the reveal/monologue/killer's fate, etc. With Williamson having more leverage this time with the creativity, he can definitely go for something that hasnt been done before

The whole idea of spin-offs and an extended universe sounds like the worst thing that could happen to this franchise. Scream is a running commentary and reflection on the horror genre, not an MCU-esque paint-by-numbers generic slasher ensemble. It already runs the risk of becoming what it made fun of.

I honestly don't agree with him coming back unless they bring the whole core 4 in because of plot holes. At the end of 6, he & terra are now a couple. Also having him as the introduction kill is a waste & lazy writing honestly. You stabbed him to death at the end of 6 yet survived. Just such a waste. I think that’s the GREATEST thing!! SCREAM1-3 were the PERFECT horror trilogy. SCRE4M sits on an island🏝️by itself and is my least favorite of the series. At least 5 & 6 were attempting to set up and establish a brand new trilogy. Too bad things unrelated to the project were used to justify canceling the new direction of the series.🙁

I didn't like when the younger carpenter. Sister punched Gale in the face. I can't understand that with Sydney. Because you know back then. They were more closer in age and more History With each other. Gail is old enough to be this girl's mom pretty much. Chad was a bit of a bully to both the carpenter's boyfriends for no apparent reason.They did not do anything to him whatsoever or to anybody for that matter. And Mindy was totally over the top.I mean she had a mouth that wouldn't know when to shut it.
