Hey Spencer…. Just want to thank you for all your videos. I went this morning in the Housatonic River in Connecticut. Nothing … I am a disabled police officer since 2018. Started in 1996 and almost made it to retirement. I have ok days, bad days horrible days. I’m usually stuck in bed about 18 hours a day. I love watching your videos, it makes me relaxed and takes my mind off the pain. I was an avid fisherman along the Connecticut coast of Long Island sound. I am not miserable, I took a job that I knew was dangerous. You’re videos remind me of me going out there searching for the big one. Love your sarcastic choice of words. Good luck in the tournament!! Patient Weed Hopper, if it's ment to be, it will be, but you can't force it. Like anything else in life tells you, just be you, and it's the real you that catches fish. Remember you typically are laid back, relaxed, and not stressing about catching fish. Josh, what's the difference between those that fish, and those that catch? I totally agree on the shad comment. When I first started casting for shad, I hated the smell of the shad on my hands even after extensively cleaning them for 3 days. Now, I can pretty much eat right after casting for them. And yes, fresh shad smells so much better than expired shad.

Dude at to 10 is great. Big cat tournaments are tough man, either you are on them or you simple aint. The best big cat tournaments I did back in Mo were all out at LOZ and Truman Rez. This weekend we got trapped in a canyon chasing trophy trout when some big storms rolled in. Everyone in the canyon left, buncha noobs, soon as that rain moved off the feed was on and it was mayhem! I think you need to bring wood to these tournaments, you seem to catch some beasts when he is on board!
