The Mobestiary is most likely not canon to the Minecraft universe. When the author of the book was asked if it was canon, he respond by saying (from how I infer it) that the book was supposed to be more of an inspiration for theories, meaning that the things that the Naturalist (a.k.a. the in-universe author of the Mobestiary) regard as fact, along with the drawings of the mobs’ anatomies aren’t actually canon. An example of this is that in one part of the book, it mentions that illagers can’t breed or reproduce in any way. This was proven to be completely false by Minecraft Dungeons’ prequel book, The Rise of the Arch-Illager (which IS confirmed to be canon to the base game), as at one point it mentions that Archie (a.k.a. the Arch-Illager, the antagonist of MC Dungeons) had parents. So no, ghasts are not machines. This is basically confirmed by the cosmetic pet in MC Dungeons known as the baby ghast, which is more akin to a jellyfish than any sort of machine, with it having transparent skin and a visible heart/core. It’s even seemingly able to control the transparency of both its skin and heart, to the point where its body is completely invisible (except for its eyes and mouth). I’m pretty sure that any machine, whether it’s possessed by souls or not, could be able to turn most of its body invisible at will. I’ve also never heard of a machine that can have babies. Speaking of things that are canon, Minecraft Story Mode isn’t canon to the base game, unlike Dungeons, so the Wither Storm is completely irrelevant to the main lore. One more thing, it’s heavily implied in an official Minecraft article describing the warped forest that they are crimson forests corrupted by the endermen, with the article mentioning that it’s where “the Nether meets the End.” Along with referring to the endermen’s presence as a downside to living in the biome, the article also confirms that the reason piglins and hoglins don’t spawn there is because they’re scared of the endermen, further showing them to be a bad influence. Those “help” sounds aren’t messages from the endermen, they’re coming from the Nether dimension itself. And you may wondering why I’ve come to the conclusion that endermen have corruption abilities. Well then, Minecraft Dungeons is your answer. Endersent, mobs that are obviously relatives of endermen, are showing spreading void blocks and liquid in certain areas in the Overworld as some sort of corruption. And the Orb of Dominance, an entity is heavily implied to be related to the endermen and the End as a whole, is shown to be able to corrupt entire islands.

I remember back with 1.7.10, I was fucking around in a creative world with my cousin, brand new to Minecraft having only messed around in maybe 1.6.4 and 1.7.10, and I had found a mineshaft. I didn't know those things were IN the game, didn't know what they were, and a dark, abandoned series of hallways underground with only a few torches left to lit it freaked me the fuck out for a while. I had heard of Herobrine, don't remember exactly what I thought about him with the mineshaft, I just know the mineshaft itself spooked me. ..To be fair, they're still kinda spooky, but still. Fun times

10:12 when minecraft's bedrock edition had the command glitch that let you switch into creative from survival, i made a path of leafless trees leading into a cave where, behind one coal ore block, i made a small cavern lit by redstone torches and a few pits of lava with a herobrine shrine in the middle and a lodestone right underneath it. this was in a world i was playing with a bunch of high school friends and they eventually found it but i wasn't there to see their reactions, but one of my friends said the one that found it freaked out and broke the shrine down right when he found it and completely filled in the cavern. i really wish i was there to see it happen

This was a great video! The theory about the Nether being a radioactive result of nuclear experiments was extremely interesting! I couldn't stop thinking about it, which was why I made kind of like an addition to it! I have a few things that don't exactly fit, but I want to kinda start a discussion! What if the Overworld is just millions of years later after the Nether has healed over back into a normal world? What if building nether portals were building time portals back to when the world was still in its Nether form, which is the super radioactive outcome of the nuclear activity? Maybe thats why when you bring Piglins and Hoglins to the Overworld, they turn zombified! They are going through millions of years into the future, which is why their bodies immediately decompose and Zombify! Could this also tie back into the Ghasts being from the Overworld? Returning them back into a world that they recognise more, a world that was before the nuclear disaster. Maybe as the world healed back, the creatures (including you) are much more sturdy, which is why overworld creatures and the player can traverse the present and past without going through decomposition like the Hoglins and Piglins. Also another thing that doesn't exactly make sense is the Nether roof, but I can really just make a bullshit theory about how the radiation completely solidified the clouds in the sky into bedrock. Oh and also maybe ruined Nether portals could be past beings who also discovered the science of time travel?

I mean I wasn't suspecting anything like that to be connected with Minecraft, and so early on the iceberg. But I know such things do actually happen... so You really caught me of guard. Also I wouldn't call end poem "interesting and thought provoking". It's actually just an empty, meaningless bubble, which is just constructed to SEEM as something deep, while actually... it isn't. And no, it holds nothing to actually learn about universe and it's meaning (ironically as someone summarized this it's overelaboreated message of "stop playing the game go outside"). Nor does it make sense from in-game perspective. That was one of the most pointless addition to the game. A completely and miserably failed attempt to be philosophical. In most pretentious, and showy way possible which didn't even fit the game... Anything meaningful is not in these lines but in things and interpretation that people would add. But the poem itself? worthless. 9:13 ability of feeling pain (if we are telling about physical pain, as to feel it and experience it like humans to actual intelligence of some level is actually needed) is not about intelligence but having nervous system. So obviously this statements was utterly ridiculous(and unfunny joke), but not exactly from the reason YOu stated. 10:!7 Herobrine... oh such classic. I actually heard once about it from my cousin before even playing the game. But I heard it as "Hero Brain", which seems just ridiculous. And I was never actually enjoyed the creepypasta itself (I pretty much find them pointless... and even when they somehow got to be interesting then quite quickly decimate it with it's nature focused on being creepy and disturbing from no ACTUAL reason...) but I really enjoy him as the character of music videos ant actual Minecraft storylines in them. Didn't know about these supposed "russian" origins of herobrine, though. Also You seem to have very low opinion on kids... 15:00 wait You just assumed that Bedrock layer is "the core of the planet" in that calculation? Also now it's more than 62 meters, as 1.18 doubled the underground size. Also game theorists make a video about Minecraft planet... and rate it to be generally believable. And they didn't make assumption or come to a conclusion that it it hollow. 19:53 - as a said note... clear example that debauchery never can bring actual happiness... I think Notch kinda brings it on himself by making SUCH use of his new gained riches... It's not actually about how much money he has. It's about what one do with them and placing person's meaning in them. 21:00 well that kinda proofs of how w misunderstood the idea of soul is... and it's so annoying this misunderstanding, and the whole idea of "soul energy" coming from it, is so embraced not only by Minecraft theorists but also the game developers themselves.. but well, what I was supposed to expect from people who created miserably materialistic "end poem". Also no, pumpkin previously having pre carved faces proves nothing beyond the fact that the game was more simplified previously. And strangely enough the more bottom entries weren't this much interesting. Many of them were just... well ultimately as pointless as herobrine creepypasta. I was also hoping that You would cover such things like Minecraft lore speculations (Game Theorists, RetroGamingNow) and videos like "Minecraft things in real life", which for example prove that netherrite is much more real and less fantasy thing that we thought (well kinda...) And the whole orderal with Dream... it seems so unrealistic that it did engage so many people so much that even actual scientist have participated... and all over such trivial and small things like speedrunning...

i remember playing xbox 360 minecraft and went to the nether to get glowstone, this was also the time during legacy when like two dozen ghasts spawned in one minute, where im going with this story is I earned the title of Survivalist by surviving for an hour while i had dwindling supplies, i eventually got saved by my friends i was playing with when they made a new portal for me
