I worked for many, many years as a professional artist. I agree that when your artistry becomes a business it's no longer necessarily a creative endeavor. I can say that the moments of pure creativity were very joyful although few and far between. Would I have been happier if the only thing I did was create? I don't think so which brings us back around to the idea of balance. Many great thinkers have promoted the middle path. I think they might be onto something. Thanks for another valuable video. I enjoyed.

I’m in creative career and has always been into creative works. Am I happier? No. I’m in constant internal battle with never ending limitless ideas. As fulfilling as it is, it’s also equally catastrophic if I stay in that state for too long. Balance is what makes u happier. Find balance in life

Thank you for this insight! Certainly one can push creativity too far, especially when it becomes a business. I imagine that it won't be fulfilling to work in an ad agency, say, where one would have to generate a hundred different ideas for a random sliced bread ad in one morning, only to immediately throw away 99 of them. The idea of balance, that you mention, was very important to Aristotle: to find, as he said, the middle way between deficit and excess of every one of our qualities, including creativity. He thought that this was the only way to a truly happy life. Thanks!

I think if I was not a natural drawer and wasn't lucky enough to know and study music (learned the piano and the guitar) I would have probably started a cult or a revolution, creativity means mental stability to me, because sometimes I am too logic for my one good, humans need some chaos in their life. Interesting point in the video.
