A little dry fly fishing tale from the forest of Västerbotten, Sweden.

When I edit I usually make a sloppy voiceover recording that I change when I'm done with the story. This time I kept the powerless whispering voice, I'm not sure it was a good choice. Hope you enjoy it, Thanks for watching!

Rolf, I appreciate your films so much beyond just their aesthetic and the skill you demonstrate. Your work pierces some slightly mystical veil about why we fish.; it touches on the soul stuff without being pretentious or contrived. In a world of overwrought fish-porn, your films are a welcome gift.

These kind of films let you speechless. Atmosphere with your sound editing is so great, and goes perfectly with narrator. And those clips! Perfect shots all the time! That jumping trout clip.. like wtf man. How you get material like that? How many tries or hours those clips take? Insane. Respect as always

So obviously the video and the story are beautiful. More importantly, I have to imagine that spending time in an environment like that, with those sights, sounds, and smells, will be really good for your boy. Not to mention spending time with dad, learning patience, persistence, and resilience (and also great filming and editing skills). Thanks for sharing this. There's a lot to think about here.

Wow. This is amazing. The end choked me up. As a father it was the ultimate ending. Seeing your kids feel the same excitement you do about nature. I love this. That's the biggest dopamine rush there is. "Dad! Dad! I caught one!!"

Sir, this clip leaves me, as a father of (soon) 4 and a complete fishing nut, totally breathless. Your skills are beyond this world - and what you produce are purest gems of fishing videos, outstanding! "Made a mistake of falling in love" - pricelessly funny but yet so touching. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. All the best to you (and to mini-you) from Estonia.

Rolf - the narration worked perfectly. I've been fly fishing for 60 years and I really loved this on many, many levels. It recalled memories for me of being maybe 12 years old and lost in the magic of being in the woods and in the water and seeking the magic of trout. Loved seeing your son immersed there with you. Thank you for sharing this. A really wonderful work.

Great cinematography and great video. I love the way you condensed a year of filming in a single trout 😎. For me it sounds very strange to hear someone talk this way about Graylings... Here in Verona we're sorrounded by brown and marble trouts, Graylings are here considered the holy grail of fly fishing.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.” In a small stream, there lives a trout. Not a sandy bottom, current-less stream filled with stagnant water, nor signs of life and food to eat: it was an untouched flowing stone bottom spring creek, and that means trout.
