Ha! I literally put the exact same clean kettle on its first flame on Friday! I was embarrassed too. But it also felt so good.

Well done as usual, Rolf. It's good to see you catching pike now. I hope you have some good pike fishing near your home so you have something besides forest trout in your local radius. And it's always good to see The Hillbilly in the mix. (said this West Virginia boy) I had the same experience the first time I tried a belly boat... I hated it, if I'm honest. I prefer wading myself.

Wonderful film yet again Rolf! I have to get me one of those belly boats! :) And those huge Pike! Sweden must really look after their fisheries. Wow!

Yups, still one of my favorite fishing channels. I have mentioned this before to a couple of other tubers I follow, (@WildlingSailing & @rokkitkit) but aside from the images you choose and your edits, your sound is totally genius. Both your Diegetic and non-Diegetic sound are as sumptuous as your composition and your color treatment. All complementary to each other... Not sure what you do for a living, but if you are not in broadcast or film, then those industries are missing out.

There’s nothing else quite like a Rolf Nylinder fly fishing video. Others try to be artsy or reflective and fail miserably, falling into cliches. Rolf pulls it off seemingly effortlessly, always coming off sincere and true to himself.

It takes mental strength to be yourself, especially in todays world. Happy there are real humans left, priceless...

Rolf gives us wisdom now along with incredible diary videos. He is absolutely right that telling everyone your problems is not always the answer. Sometimes, you must retreat deep into the unknown woods and find yourself among the trees and on the water.

Rolf, On behalf of all the old head anglers who are move or less housebound than we ever were, thank you for your gentle and non-commerical approach in all your videos. As we age we are living through you. ONE THING -- would you mind identifying some of the birds you photograph with an overlay on the screen.

Float tube = life jacket. That’s 40 years of float tube experience talking. Be safe. Too many people have drowned in those things w/o life jackets.

We couldn’t lose our favorite film maker. You rock!!! I’ve been following your work from the beginning of your channel. Enjoy every second in nature and fish all that you can. The day will come when your body no longer cooperates and allows you such pleasures. Those are also words of experience. MS robbed me of fly fishing three years ago. All I have is memories now. You are leaving a profound legacy of your life with our sport. Thank you for all the hard work it’s required young man. You have a superior talent. Well done!
