Pulitzer Prize Winner Anne Applebaum (The Atlantic and the Johns Hopkins University, Agora Institute) delivered the keynote address, "The Crisis of Democracy and Russia's War Against Ukraine," at the Genocides and Memories. Russia's War Against Ukraine in Comparative Perspective conference on Nov. 15, 2023 at Georgia Tech. The event was sponsored by Georgia Institute of Technology, Emory University, Georgia State University, Georgia Gwinnett College. Mearsheimer??? LOL. Mearsheimer deliberately ignores Russia's long history of persecuting Ukraine and how Russia broke it's 1994 friendship agreement with Ukraine called the Budapest Memorandum. In that agreement, Ukraine was kind enough to give up all it's nukes to Russia (which Russia desperately wanted) in exchange for Russia never invading Ukraine. Well, we see how that turned out.

Mearsheimer could not care less about Eastern Europeans, their freedom, rights to decide on their own about their countries and their agenda. Russia is not Eastern Europe's master and we owe Russia nothing.
