Quran (only scripture with 100% accuracy/preservation) says Allah is “Al-Ahad”(one/indivisible).Philosophically, It is impossible for 3 distinct perfections to exist simultaneously. Father (Perfection 1/distinct1) =Son (Perfection 2/distinct2)=idolatry.This is due to addition of two extra perfections that are Co-equal/Co-eternal&distinct with Allah(the most Exalted). Not just the Quran, but also the old/New Testament textually establish tauheed(monotheism). So, then why believe in trinity and associate two imaginary parts to Allah(one/indivisible/Self-Sufficient/All-Loving)? How could your love/worship be undivided/exclusive for Allah(the most Exalted) when there are two other equally unique/perfect entities to adore? The verses of bible used by trinitarians are extremely vague and require hard interpretation to extract the understanding that Father/Son/Holy Ghost are Co-equal/Co-Eternal&distinct.

I read the whole Critical Qur'an and I love it. It took me quite a long time to read it but I could not put it down because it is so bril. BTW, why are the pages ultra thin? It makes the pages so hard to separate and the gold print on the cover comes off so easily. I also read Did Muhammad Exist and enjoyed it. The footnotes are the best because they explain it all honestly and clearly too. I don't like 'normal' Qur'ans because they play it all down and try but fail to sanitise what it really says. No normal Qur'an would ever dare to be as honest as Robert Spencer. I like the part about the muddy spring at the end of the world too. Bookbinding used to be a fine art, a noble craft. So if I want to study the Bible, I will go read the Bible myself, and see what the experts of the Bible have to say (which I do). And whatever the scholars of Islam say about the Bible, I will fact-check it myself, and not just blindly believe them. So we agree there. (And by the way-the Qur’an tells us to believe the Bible; and I have great respect for it, just as the Qur’an itself commands) The problem is however-many Muslims AND many Christians (and others) don’t do this, and hence they blindly accept whatever they hear from their “people” online, or those who already support their assumptions. Their conclusions are much more emotional than they think-and so as long as the person on the screen speaks confidently, maybe even knows a little bit of the original language (whether it’s Arabic, Greek, or Hebrew), and cherry-picks some “ancient sources” here & here: then bam, suddenly that person is somehow an expert, and we can accept everything they say. And especially if you hear it over & over enough times? You’re hooked. But it simply doesn’t work like that. We have to be more intelligent thinkers. And people like Robert Spencer are a prime example of this clever distortion. Whether intentionally or not-people like him provide a narrowly-chosen, pre-prepared, sectarian narrative that claims to be doing nothing but repeating what the greatest classical scholars say; when in reality, it is like teaching a classroom full of Russians nothing about American life & politics except the Civil War, the KKK, and Jerry Springer. All of it may have truth-but it fails to look at the bigger picture or do any justice to the reality of the situation.
