So many comments on here from professional internet coaches. I’m currently interested in hiring one of you so I can use your amazing tips and skills to “easily” snatch 315! “Fix my pull” and “lift more than an amateur” some day!
@mme96465 жыл бұрын
If you think these guy's techniques are remotely close to decent (except for some) that means your technique is rubbish, and I am not here to insult, I'm just saying it how it is. Having a good technique will not give you instantly a 140kg snatch, it will prevent you from injury and make you more efficient, in the sense that you will be able to snatch what your strength allows you to.
@rubensousa92164 жыл бұрын
@@mme9646 I understand what you say but there's 2 things that need to be taken into account: the first is that there's no evidence these athletes got injured after and due to this event (or WL practice), and therefore their technique, while not being perfect, it's not necessarily injury prone at these weights; the second is that it's not worth their time to fully maximize their weightlifting potential because they need to focus on a lot more varied movements. It's actually very common for these events to be won by someone who is not actually a title contender (like Fisher and Pichelli). But I fully agree with you many of these movements are too imperfect to lead the athletes to a weightlifting competition. While some are ugly but still legal, you can also see a lot of press outs. They also, in my opinion, rush to their first lift (even "fast" lifters like Lasha take a bit more time to concentrate).

How CrossFit is done varies between Gym to gym, the one I go to, is very strict on form, my coach doesn’t let me go any higher if he sees a flaw in my form, and doing the open we have qualified coaches and even the slight bad form causes a no -rep, while some other CrossFit gym may focus on speed instead of perfect form.

These woman are weak. It's sad that me a 29 year old fat guy can snatch more than the "fittest women" in the world..... Sure they have great cardio and muscle endurance but they are also using lighter weight, lower boxes than the avg guy would who's RXing a WOD in their local gym. Now if they would to at least go by standards that avg guys do then I'd be impressed but using a 15lb ball and a 9' target is weak sauce.

Dalton Johnson. "Sure they have great cardio and muscle endurance but they are also using lighter weights.....blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada. That's just it, the Crossfit games aren't just about lifting. OK, so you can beat these women in ONE THING. But add up all the days, the workouts, the reps etc.... How do you think you'd stack up then? If you're a 29 year old "fat guy" you probably would get destroyed/crushed by the sheer volume these women do over the course of the entire games. What a moronic comment on your part.....
