@ciandunphy78884 жыл бұрын
The movement was a shoulder to overhead. Not a push press. The part at the top was wrong. The reason Fraser push pressed half of his reps was because it wasn’t very heavy for him and push pressing is faster

Is there actually a standard for chest to bar pull ups because it seems to depend on each individual athlete as to how high their chest goes to complete a rep. Some are almost hitting the bar and others are nowhere near high enough to touch the bar. In some cases, there is over a foot of difference in the height.

There wouldn’t be enough speed in the reps, and the judging would be inconsistent as to what counts as a strict pull up
@ACrossland224 жыл бұрын
@@williamharrison632 not really talking about the games themselves, but crossfit in general. Most of it is interesting to me, and I've done it on several occasions when invited. Butterfly pull ups are just so much less effective than a properly done pull up.
@williamharrison6324 жыл бұрын
@@ACrossland22 yeah I agree, but I guess that’s the way it’s done at CrossFit, if you are training pull-ups then strict are better but if you are training for CrossFit the butterfly pull-ups are better. I train both as I do CrossFit
@ACrossland224 жыл бұрын
@@williamharrison632 I guess I can understand if what you're trying to improve is your crossfit. But for targeting the muscles in your back, strict is better. The use of butterfly pull ups recruits other muscles that make the pull up a lot easier, but ultimately means the muscles in the back don't get the full benefit. I guess it's all up to what your goal is.

@ATL456 жыл бұрын
In some events, yes. In other events, no. Rope climbs, rowing, and box jumps are all better suited for tall athletes. And even if it's uneven on average, who cares? There are no height divisions in gymnastics, weightlifting, track, basketball, limbo, or any other sport.
@he115ing26 жыл бұрын
ATL45 well weightlifting is about one re maxes. I️ am talking about an advantage that come with doing many reps. A shorter athlete would be able to do certain reps faster and a taller athlete would have a considerable advantage in certain exercises as well. Plus basketball is divided by positions. You are not gonna have a six three guy guard a seven footer. And if you do that’s called a mistmatch.
