Some interesting facts: Brandon Lee died when they shot the opening scene where Funboy shoots Eric. Brandon Lee's stunt double who filmed the rest of Lee's scenes was Chad Stahelski, who later directed John Wick series. Right after the shootout scene, Brandon Lee dancing away from the cops wasn't scripted. According to the director's commentary, Lee was so tired and tired of doing the same thing over and over. Alex Proyas said Lee would move so fast that it was like Lee was moving between the frames. There's an interview Lee did on the set of this movie, where he quotes from a book. That quote is on his grave stone. Lee said this was the first movie he felt that he was his own person and not in his father's shadow.

It p!sses me off that 30 years after Brandon Lee's death in this movie that Halyna Hutchins was killed in a similar way on the "Rust" set under similar circumstances; low budget combined with gross negligence/incompetence. Brandon's death was ruled accidental by negligence, so no one was charged. However, people have been charged and convicted for the "Rust" shooting. Maybe now studios will finally care enough to remove real guns from movie sets.

It’d be nice but unless the studio itself loses incredible amounts of money or the studios face prosecution, they won’t change. Human life means nothing to them against $$.

From what imdb also says the actor who plays funboy quit acting for a year after this movie because of how traumatized he was over what happened and later passed on from depression i guess

An idea for the remake, why not have Shelly be the Crow? She's not a fighter, but she can't die again, so she uses that to her advantage to get her revenge for herself and Eric.

A great dark superhero movie from the mid 90s that people still talk about because before Blade, this was the vigilante movie to watch for a mature audience. The Batman movies had shifted to a lighter and brighter tone and Barb Wire, Judge Dredd and Spawn was totally forgetable. You should skip the sequels, tough.
