I've heard Devour and Sound of Madness, but just on video that someone from the forum. They weren't the best quality but from what I heard, there's reason to be excited. The board member took them down tho cuz the boys don't want the new material posted, the only reason this one is up is because it's available for download on the station's website so I figured it was fair game.

Well, after the song he says something like 'this is the 9am version, you'll here the regular version at the show tonight.' I know for the shows he goes through a bunch of vocal exercises and stretches. they just started recording yesterday (monday) they just demoed 51 songs then did that short tour. But Brent has said, when asked to compare this one to the first two, that this one is going to go way beyond he wouldn't say which one the new one is like.

Well, here's what I know: Jasin was having some problems (I believe drug and alcohol) and was in rehab for a little while. Supposedly he was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct with the police in Florida. After this incident, I believe the record company kicked him out. From what I gathered, Brent and Barry were not completely against the decision but they weren't completely for it either. Also, Jasin has stated that Brent has been nothing but supportive and wants Jasin to get well soon.

Also, from what I gathered, there's been speculation of possibly letting Jasin back in after he's out of rehab. I hope this will happen because Jasin's a good guy, he just has some issues to iron out. And yes, he's a rocker, this isn't new material...I personally think it was unfair of the record company to do that, keeping him in and also getting him some help is what I would do. Then again, I am not one to know the whole story either. I just know Brent and Jasin's mom have released material.

awesome for first time performance. amazing vocals, better than on album, brent can switch it up live making the meaning in the song punch u in the face. brent has most meaningful lyrics ever. its a shame jasin got kicked out by atlatic records for being "too intoxicated". hes a rockstar right? not sure what happned to brad? loved the old shinedown. love the new even more, same great lyics from mr. smith. zack + nick = better sound (2:1 ratio, nothin aagainst jasin). nope, nick and eric did nothing for this record. 0%. Nick wasn't even part of the band until april, at that point the writing had been finished for about 6 months. if they had done any writing they would have done the recording and that was done by studio artists

Devour and Sound of Madness ... I heard both live. I think Junkies for Fame is the best of the four. Devour ... I don't care for much; it doesn't have a real SD sound. Sound of Madness is solid, but won't be a hit song or anything.
