Its an error in translation in my opinion, in the Webtoon, same scene, Lero Ro actually said that the it was as if the Shinsu became alive to protect Bam rather than Bam becoming Shinsu

Edit: thats not a spoiler, just mentioning some thing that were different from the anime in the webtoon In the Webtoon, Bam didnt try to hit the redhead woman with the sword after the Shinsu activation, also the Black March didnt appear nor did she stop the time or anything like that. Moreover, Lero Ro said that "Shinsu acted on its own volition" not that "Bam himself became Shinsu". I dont know why did they change all these, but I hope that they wont make more changes, because in that case the original made a lot more sense. "Bam himself became Shinsu" doesnt make sense at all, Black March isnt supposed to appear on her own and certainly cannot stop the time and Bam is still supposed to be a super innocent kid that he wouldnt try to actually kill a person, even if they harmed someone he cared about.

Louis Fontenot It’s an anime-only scene, regardless of whether you’ve read the webtoon or not, nothing much can be implied from the scene. At least it wouldn’t make sense to do so. Which really leaves us a simple explanation; it was something added to the anime to express just how huge Bam’s willingness and desire to protect Rachel was. There’s nothing more to it. The webtoon goes to hint at Bam’s untapped power later on. Honestly don’t know what the plans for the anime is, but hopefully they won’t stray too far from the original content.

There is some confusion over titles in here. Administrator: Also called the Guardian of the floor, usually a monster like Hedaon. They are absolute rulers of a floor and decide who can go to the next floor via tests. Floor Ruler: Someone hired by the Guardian to do its job. Floor 2's Ruler is Evankhell if you recall that name being mentioned, but she is away on business and has not been seen yet. Test Director: 2nd in command. Floor 2's is Yu Han Sung. He is in charge while Evhankhell is away. The ruler and director are the ones who design and plan the tests for regulars. Test Administrator: Helpers who actually run the tests like Lero Ro and Quaint. They usually are the ones actually running the tests, though the Director may step in like Han Sung did for the Door test It is noteworthy that the Rulers, Directors, and Test administrators are pretty much always Rankers, which is a separate title signifying they climbed to the "top" of the tower.

It bothers me how some call Bam a simp. The boy lived in cave for god knows how long, had lost his memory and was lonely. One day Rachel found him and he became attached to her because she's the only person he knows. When she left, he wanted to follow her because he didn't want to be lonely again. There's nothing romantic between these two for Bam to be called a simp. I wish the ppl who are calling Bam a simp would learn the meaning of simp first.

In the webtoon, after Bam got hit in the head, the black tight girl got pushed hard by Bam shinsu and then Bam fell unconscious. It didnt physical show Bam shinsu and the color. The anime added the golden shinsu and Black march putting bam to sleep. I dont know if in the anime they might change bam shinsu to gold cause in the webtoon his shinsu is blue just like everyone else Ps the author before this said that he wanted to add some more details in the anime And last but not least. Urek Mazino is someone legit and you guys should look forward for his grand entrance

Since we know Baam is special, new ToG audience can easily deduce it has something to do with Baam. If it were blue, it would be even more ambiguous and confusing (this shinsu interaction versus manipulating shinsu like a normal wave controller).

You need to remember a lot of ppl are watching this as a brand new series, as someone who's read it as well I can confirm the storyline and plot hasn't been changed to an extent that ruins the story - simply tweaking minor details to have more creativity n freedom with the animation/FX.

Just for reference, time moves differently in the tower. Months in our world is years in theirs and yet they may mature as if it is years rather than months. And as you master the use of shinsu you are also able to extend your own life or rather stay youthful would be a better term. Anaak Zahard = Anak Jahad, is 300 years old (Its kind of funny, because Shibisu calls her his daughter or "little cutie" but in fact she's way, waaay older than him). Its one of the reasons why she's so much stronger than any of the other "normal" regulars in comparison since they appearance match their own age.

When TOG came out it was boring up until midway through the floor of tests. Even the way bam incapacitated red hair was really misunderstood. Its just said that the shinsu protected bam. This reproduction in the anime makes it more hype and honestly more understandable although the last part was probably a translation error since the kanji for alive and becomes is similair to my knowledge

No spoiler here: Administrator is the guardian of the floor. Each floor has one. Admins let regulars and rankers manipulate shinsu in their designated floor by making a contract with them, no one should be able to use shinsu without doing this first.

Guardians are the real ruler of the floor, while administrator are just rankers given authorazation to administrate the TEST on said floor.... and the ranker getting picked to be administrator is a job given by jahads group to rankers. jahad = current ruler of the tower.

The world of ToG is highly complicated and many little details make sense at a later point in the story. That is why the additions they made and the cut content as well in the anime can make you more confused at times. Even some mistranslations in the subs can change the meaning. I highly recommend for anime only people to read the manhwa at least up to the point of the latest anime episode so that they have a better understanding of the world of ToG. I guarantee you that you will find stuff that make more sense and are less confusing after reading it...

Just so you guys know, the subtle catch of Khun walking through the Shinsu wall test yet having trouble that you guys caught onto is shown in the webtoon comics , but wasn't reviewed here. Just that one part with the administrator for the door test was. The anime has some missing dialogue and such like for example, Yuris guide, the guy with grey hair explains that Bam needed to sit still and be eaten because you could tell the Steel Eel was pregnant and hungry. It looked at Bam or whoever as a food, not a threat. So Bam standing still to be eaten was the perfect answer, yet Bam knew it and took the chance to slice and stun it.

The administrator Leroro was talking about was the Guardian of the floor, like Headon. They are the gods of that floor which have full control of all Shinsu in the floor they rule. They are massively enormous beasts like and also very powerful as they control the Shinsu within the floor they rule. They are known to be immortals and are called gods by the Tower Residents as no Residents have been able to kill a Guardian. (Spoiler) The author of TOG states that even Jahad with his full power cannot kill or take down a Guardian. Ciaoo

Honestly, Bam relationship to Rachel is more like a puppy dog chasing after the first human who had taken care of it. Bam seems too innocent and obvious like a new-born baby, so I don't think he truly understand love on a romance level quite yet.

Another great reaction, also if you notice the background music when the light was coming out of Bam, it was saying "Kami no Tou" Which means Tower of God. I thought that was pretty cool. One more thing, about the thing Lero Ro and the other administrator was talking about, so I have a feeling Lero Ro is secretly a villian. Their jobs like the other administrator said was to find people that pose a threat to the tower. I do believe he knows Bam falls into that criteria, but he didn't give him up. I feel like Lero Ro wants to keep Bam a secret and use him for evil purposes.

Pockets are orbs that act as a lifeline in the sense that they’re like a phone. They translate languages and always follow the person, apps can be installed, you can send messages and such. They can help with communication and do save someone’s life but not in the way you think. It’s better to think of it as a phone

About the pocket and lifeline thing, what it meant is that you can't do anything without the pocket. It's almost like the menu button of a game with all the options and everything. You can communicate with others (too many tribes / species enter the tower with different linguistic backgrounds), you can call with a pocket etc. It has a wide variety of functions without which, it is (almost) impossible to climb the tower. This is why yuri was angry at headon for not providing one to beam (he gives an 'E' rank / low rank pocket to all the regulars when they start to climb the tower).

Pockets being called a “lifeline” was more about it being a necessity for a Regular to climb the tower. Pockets have a variety of things they can be used for. One example would be when Shibisu said “money mode” at the vending machine. Pockets have multiple practical functions that make them a required item seeing as every Regular is issued one when they first enter the tower. Bam got lucky and was given an A-rank pocket by Evan when most Regulars start out with only E-rank.

What they tried to explain in the anime so far is that shinsu is basically the tower's natural, water-like energy source that people can draw upon for all the reasons Lero-Ro stated. Its concentration is higher in higher floors for an unspecified reason.

Info only 1. the reason why lero ro help bam will be stated later if they dont cut it 2. just think that shinsu is like haki for easier understanding shinsu = energy of the tower. when it's thin = air that can breathe / when it's thick = water that can smash thing. everyone can use shinsu if they train or have talent and there're a lot of types of shinsu just like haki.

Administrator is not a ranker, ranker is the administrator for THE test(well that statement only work for ranker who become an administrator for the test ofc), while administrator is the admin of the whole floor, they will explain it in the future episode. One more thing, Shinsu is basically like mana(the more general term for anime watcher hahaha), so shinsu can have different form rather than just water. shinsuu is like basically the air water fire etc and is a very part of the environment in tower of god. That's why lero ro said that the barrier had the density of the environment of the 40th floor. Thus shinsu can take any form. its basically like the fundamental component of the tog world. Now administrator and test administrators are different. Due to the confusion the manhwa later reffered to administrators as Guardians. They are beings that control a floor and create the shinsuu on the floor.

Well when he walked passed it the bag got stuck, so I’m guessing it was because those were the regulars in theres shinsu. Think of the Administrator like a mini god of each level, they are creatures that regulars make contracts with to use shinsu. They can also give out orders or tests directly to regulars. Test administrators meanwhile are people, Rankers like Leroro. They still follow guidelines as set by the Administrators.

A bit of info about shinsu. Shinsu can be any color, it's somewhat similar to chakra in naruto. It is also a source of life for the people in the tower, many people in the tower are way way older than they look, because shinsu makes them practically unaging. Just felt like throwing that out there cause in the webtoon they only explained this way ahead, sometimes making it confusing when characters talk about the past.

Just to clarify Bam was using Shinsu and the Black March appearing again is completely anime original. Also in the webtoon/manhwa, Bam doesn't get back up again to attack the other person after the big burst of Shinsu he did, he went unconscious after the burst of Shinsu. However, SIU the creator of Tower of God does have input on the anime so this could've been something he wanted to add. One last thing, I don't know if this was a mistranslation or something the anime changed but in the webtoon/manhwa, Lero Ro doesn't say that Bam became Shinsu instead he says, "It seemed as if the Shinsu attacked of its own volition".
