Nice find Tim. I was a senior in HS in ‘80 and I purchased the OG US when it came out and still have it. This is my all time number 1 album of all time. I saw the Clash in ‘82 in Asbury Park, NJ kicking off the Combat Rock tour and my friends and I met Joe Strummer on the boardwalk, and chatted with him for a bit and then got our pics taken with him! That photo is framed and a personal treasure.

I have not heard your 2013 ‘WG’, that is a US pressing. I would mention that the 2013 EU pressing with same hype sticker is in fact Tim Young runouts (timtom).

You are so Iconic Tim! Drink! 😁 Damn, I really thought I had that one, I have all the other 1st US pressings of theirs. Well, I'll need to be on the lookout for that one then. Although, TBH, my real favourite is Sandinista because of the sheer balls they had in making it and the sheer creativity of the sound.

Hi Tim. Do you have an original US Sterling to compare to the UK? I have my original and always thought it sounded incredible. Would love to know how the Sterling measures up. Maybe I can give you a homework assignment 🙂

I don't…. Check out various threads on Hoffman - it seems like the Timtom beats the Sterling according to various opinions. 🤷🏻‍♂️
