Ibble dibble is a drinking game where everyone has a an “ibble dibble number” and without hesitation you say your ibble dibble number number calling someone else’s ibble dibble number, if you hesitate or get it wrong, the end of a burnt cork is pressed against your face and take a drink, hence the black spots. Once you have a black spot, you have an “ibble dibble”. So when you say your ibble dibble number you now also have to say how many ibble dibbles you have. The more you drink the more your words slur so the harder ibble dibble becomes to say

GA absolutely nailed Thatcher's mannerisms, so much so she gave me goosebumps. The only unrealistic part was Thatcher shedding a tear. Me: "that's the most unrealistic portrayal of Thatcher, she'd never cry". Partner: "maybe her oil needed changing" 😆.

I actually kind of appreciate the romance scenes between Charles and Diana, because it shows how tragic the whole thing really was. It feels very real and sad to see them try and make an effort to be happy together, and for it to then unravel because they are so different and aren't right for eachother (and charles can be a prick I won't lie). I guess it made it more poignant for me when things started to fall apart? idk

I actually completely agree ! For me, I think it would have been more effective if the series focused more on their story. AND THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING because they took up a HUGE portion of this season. But their story is so complex that it feels like you need more time, more intimate conversations to fully capture the nuance and tragedy of their relationship. That would have made those romantic moments feel more poignant in my book.

The actress that plays Diana really had me enthralled in her acting when she was binging. She had this sort of look on her face that really encompassed the emotional process behind her disorder. Like when she was in the restaurant and she didn't want to eat anything until Camilla started tearing into her about not knowing anything about her fiance. She then got this *look* on her face that really sort of flipped from her normal resting face to something of pure emotional conflict inside of herself. It's truly something insane to witness.

26:05 Margaret Thatcher did save the UK *economically* thats why. I mean the UK was literally known as the sick man of Europe, thanks to her very very controversial legacy the UK became a prosperous economy. (She was more of an Economist than anything) The Queen also awarded her a title and she became known as Baroness Thatcher until her death.

I don't know if the book was Peter Morgan's source or somewhere else was or what the validity of those are etc etc but yeah not a Peter Morgan creation. Too good, like who would do that.

First off it’s great to see you back, hope you are keeping safe and well. Now the ‘ibble dibble thing...no fucking idea luv, no clue at ALL! and that egg/green mess looks like a failed attempt at a really shite omelette that will most likely give you a bout of gastro... This review was a great look at the series, I felt Diana was portrayed so well and Thatcher, well damn she may as well have come back from the dead. Gillian captured her brilliantly, the voice especially. I remember when Diana was tragically killed back in 1997, my mam was listening to the radio and I just remembered her crying hysterically and saying ‘oh my god’ over and over, it was a deeply heartbreaking time. We barely had money for food half the time, living on a council estate in South London but mam wanted to go to London to lay flowers bless her, so we went. I will never forget that, it’s engraved in my memory.God bless Diana, she would be so proud of her sons today.

Great video, I loved it! I'm British and I have no idea what the fuck the whole "ibble dibble" stuff (or whatever it was) is all about; it must be a game only the upper class play! We peasants don't play it, that's for sure 😂. But I did find it funny to watch; it was literally the poshest game I've ever seen in my life! Menage a Trois was very real, but not at the location they used...Philip was very sympathetic to Diana and wrote her a lot of letters that tried to be supportive. IMHO he could relate to the difficulties around marrying a job

Love to see outside perspectives on this series, As a native brit I did enjoy this season of course but at the same time it becomes harder to overlook the excessive creative licence this season took I would say more so with Margaret Thatcher

@@CandiceHere Well the most glaring is that the Falklands War did not coincide with her son's disappearance they happened a good 3 months apart but it is true everyone knows she preffered her son. The rest is just character moments that the real Margaret Thatcher would never have done like asking The Queen to dissolve parliament she always believed she deserved her parties full support right up until the end. BTW I thought the royal family were way too mean to her at Balmoral 😂😂

Re:Balmoral. Diana was a Lady and a noblewoman. She knew that life well and how to engage etc. Margaret Thatcher however, was a commoner. Well educated but still a commoner who had to 'graft'. Thanks for this video! (I am only up to episode 4 of the crown) so have to pause your video halfway thru. I am also a GA fan, but especially a Dianaphile since the moment she stepped into the limelight in 1981, and I still think she was perfection personified. I love the crown, but am prepared to boycott if they in any way try to tarnish the memory of Diana.

The problem with Thatcher is that some people LOVE her and worship her, and other people like really HATE her hahaha so it depends on the person the way you see her. The Crown I think doesn't show all the good/bad things she had done for her country. She was reelected I think 3 times, longest serving prime minister since Churchill so I think that's why the Queen gave her that honor Btw Thatcher predicted Brexit and it was really funny,I'm sad they didn't show it

Well... about Thatcher, she did a ton of bad things, and I mean horrible, disgusting things. She also did things that effected the UK today, in a positive way. For example, saving the pound and keeping the country economically powerful in the long run. So yes, there’s bad things, but there’s also some good

Mandela acknowledged publicly on numerous occasions that Thatcher pushed for an end to apartheid. She opposed sanctions because they would affect black South Africans far more than white South Africans. Lady Thatcher visited Mandela as his guest on numerous occasions after she ceased to be PM. They had a mutual respect. She received the Order of Merit and was elevated to the Queen's highest order of chivalry, the Garter. The Queen even changed the centuries old rule that only Royal women be admitted to the Garter and offered it to Lady Thatcher. A sign of her respect.
