I was a kid when I heard Dreamtime for the first time. Spirit Walker, Horse Nation, 83rd Dream, Flower In the Desert... I was a lifelong fan from that moment on. Every album, every tour. There will never be a greater rock band than the Cult, and I will absolutely die on that hill. Nobody touches the Cult. Nobody.

They do what they do and they do it well. That moment at 3 minutes in, Ian sings "The Ghosts Of Our Lives" and there's an image of him seemingly from early 80s with a trance like dirge going on behind his fading voice like a....ghost of their past, then it erupts into a classic Billy solo. Viva La Cult!

In 91 I was at the school of recruit training at Swinderby when ceremony came out. I realised then the metal music sounded mundane. I bought ceremony and became a fan ever since. The last vinyl I ever bought was rockers, ravers, lovers and sinners. Great days.

As a teenager I vividly remember being super hooked by Sanctuary, what a unique kick ass intro, and still today, and The Cult are the masters at this, still. A Cut Inside is just as trippy a ride maybe just a little smoother like a matured top shelf spirit.
