The vintage steel Casquette is the one, the dimensions and more round shape, bracelet everything seems better in my eyes over the newly released one

5000 USD for a bracelet with lowend digital caliber ? WTF !

Mechanical movements are cheap because most are mass produced. What do you think you are paying for in a 5k watch? The movement? Why would a quartz watch be considerably cheaper than an automatic? Give me one good reason.
@Kwoka_king162 ай бұрын
I was thinking the same exact thing for 5 grand who on earth is choosing this quartz😭 you can literally buy grand seiko with that kind of money. also for titanium they could’ve made it grade five or give it a hardness coating, but they don’t specify what it is and it’s most likely grade 2. It’s a great looking watch but actually kinda lame for what it is. If you want this kind of watch a bulova computron does the same thing at a fraction of the price with actual history/heritage.

@@kresimirpleicno watches for 5k$ have regular movements, stop clowning. I've paid 5k for a grand seiko with a spring drive, gmt function, 3 time zones and a beautiful dial. This crap looks like chinese shit from alibaba for 7$.

10 out of 10 for cool factor, good one from GP making it limited as well. Thanks Marko for the great video.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on AMZWATCH 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

I must say I prefer the black 2.0, but duo tone versions always bring some nostalgia of the era I didn't live in. (:

Nice one, but not for my budget. For us at least there is a beautiful Yema LED 70's revival. I just love it
@Armoer2 ай бұрын
Harsh comments. I actually quite like this release. The more angular redesign is amazing and the watch is fun. Of course it’s a GP so not 500 euros, but I think 5000 for a brand new one is still reasonable.

Will that display be bright enough in sunlight to read the time
@BillyBob-e3p28 күн бұрын
Probably not. That's one of the reasons LED fell by the wayside along with the poor battery life.

Kind of cool....very retro. But it would be better & more practical if the display were on all the time instead of requiring a touch of a button.

Having to press for the display is a massive fail.

Brilliant, a watch for pilots, with which you have to take your hands off the steering wheel to see the time. Whoever invented it I think will have an IQ above Einstein's.... Nice, but not for pilots 😂 Lorenzo
@MrZcotty2 ай бұрын
quite the lame pilot, if hitting that button complicates things or you.
@aerodynamik2 ай бұрын
@@MrZcotty Everything that makes you take your hands off the steering wheel is not for drivers. Then, since I'm a agonist cyclist, you also see people who use the mobile phone while pedalling, it will be me who is not able to do it 🤷🏻♂️ I'm an inept cyclist probably 🤣

Before power windows and buttons on your steering wheel for radio etc what did you do ? How did you change gears in a non automatic car ? How did you wind your window up or down, did you stop on the side of the road to do that ? People buying this watch are buying for other reasons and more importantly it’s just so cool. If it’s not your thing, that’s cool too 😎 In saying that, you are correct, it should not have been advertised as a drivers watch, or should I say Pilots 😁

At the moment there is a nicer one available from bulova for 500 bucks. Saves you from beeing muged, looking bad and you can spend more on a real watch, bro.
Looks like a cheap....digital watch....and I get is 70s tech....but why would someone want such an inferior tech...
@BillyBob-e3p28 күн бұрын
Some people love the era and the retro designs. This is expensive for what it is though. When the original came out they were cutting edge so the high prices were more understandable. You can get an original version of this watch for much cheaper and even if it's broken there is a gentleman called Hanno at "Strikes and Spares" in Germany who has new movements for it for 200 euros ish. I've got an old Makrolon version which I bought off a lad in mexico for about a $1000 and it's in great nick.
5000 Euros new, over 20.000 US$ used, for a little box with GP logo on a bracelet. OH, almost forgot, it shows time. 🤣🤣🤣 Hamilton Pulsomatic, PSR Quartz or Bulova Computron looks like a pieces of art compared to this extremely expensive monstrosity.
