Tajiks and Gilgit Baltistan people genetically are same people with R1a1 haplogroup. We believe that the people of Gilgit Baltistan originally were from the plains of Central Asia migrated to the mountains of Gilgit and Baltistan thousands of years ago, they are most definitely one of the most ancient Indo-European people.
