I appreciate how the curated notified customers a couple months in advance of the price increase. I got my curated coat at the old price. So worth it! Sadly other brands like Polene did not notify customers in advance.

That’s so true! I also got this email and the ones with the archives sale too! So nice of them, they actually mentioned on Instagram several times too! I felt the same way about Polène :( I was planning to get a bag but this kinda threw me off . So glad you were able to score The Curated coat for old price, I agree with you, it’s worth every penny! 😍 enjoy yours!

Hi Mila, a great review, thanks! I have the mederick in camel and the black london coat from Curated. They are both stunning and I love them. But, I prefer the Sezane experience with the fast shipping and beautiful packaging. I had to wait for the curated over 3 weeks, i did not get any updates on the estimated shipping time. Also, it arrived in a tiny packet, all wrinkled! It was not what I expected from this brand. I am looking forward to your review of the marc coat :)

Oh no, I’m sorry you had that experience with The Curated! Was it a pre order coat or was it in stock? I got mine in less than 3 days which was way faster than I expected. I also ordered a sweater and a bag on sale a week before and they got here super quickly. I’m sorry yours took so long :( Maybe other people had a bad experience like you and now they changed the shipping method and packaging (I hope!). Congrats Mila! the best comparison I’ve seen for these coats! They’re both a beaut! Thanks for commenting on the belt loop.. for the price though The Curated could have wool loops already attached. Being in Europe, I think I would get the Mederick, the price difference is quite something and for the potential of having to return, it can really add up. Sezane does have a strong point on that one. They are both lovely, now comes the danger of knowing just how good Mederick is lol.. I already have 2 James 🤣

Hi MIla, I bought the navy in the MEDERICK and sized down. It’s the first coat I bought from Sezane and the first one was very large for my frame. I love it! It’s so cozy and having it unstructured makes it so much more comfortable to wear.

Mederick team 😍 Yes it’s definitely oversized, I feel like most of Sezane coats actually are! It’s good this way so we can layer nicely :) I agree it’s super comfortable and effortless!

Bought the camel Mederick and although it is a bit boring colorwise I do really love it! Feels so soft and can be worn with anything. I don't like the short sleeves on the curated thats why I choose Sezane:)

Camel color is amazing, I have a lot of pieces in camel (Emile cardigan I’m wearing in the video is one of them 😁) and they’re the best! Like you said, it goes with everything and in my opinion, it’s a gorgeous color! 🤎 Happy to hear you love Mederick as much as I do!! ☺️ have a great weekend!

However, I returned the green Marc (the colour was gorgeous, but the quality of the coat did not convince me - at least for that price), maybe I will try with the houndstooth version…

The camel is amazing, goes with pretty much everything! Did you recheck the blue yet? How do you like it? :) I have mixed feeling with Marc too, if it cost less I wouldn’t think twice, but it’s almost $500 here with taxes 🙈😭 The houndstooth seems to have a different texture and fabric, if you get one let me know, I’d love a feedback! I am disappointed that the tag inside the Classic Coat from The Curated stated 90% wool and 10% cashmere. I wanted to buy it because of the supposed composition of 70% wool and 30% cashmere. The older version looks better to me rather than the newer version. I am not a fan of bell sleeves that are wide at the bottom. Also, the newer version seems less structured than the older version.

The curated makes two different fabric of the classic coats, one is 70%wool/30%cashmere, and the other is 90/10 (little cheaper) and they list separately they do name it “classic coat 90/10”. Probably you pick the wrong one.

Thank you, Mila, for the all the comparison. Both coats are so timeless and the colors are perfect as well. I'm also the the have colorful coats/jackets too. I love the raglan sleeves of the curated coat. Maybe that is reason why the sizings are more forgiving, depends on how relax you want for your coat to be. And I saw the Marc coat!! (screaming here AGAIN🤣) They are all sold out so fast. I know I shouldn't have another coat🤭, but I can't keep my eyes out of the houndstooth one. I'd love to know the fit of Marc. Should I size down in Marc like you did in the Mederick?

Totally agree with you…they’re timeless and I absolutely love the colors available, the fit and quality 😍 can’t go wrong with either! Marc coat I was hoping I’d hate, but I don’t 🤣 the houndstooth is amazing and probably a safer choice than the green I got. Thank you ☺️🥰 Oh definitely Mederick, no doubt! It’s 100% wool, so no other natural material can beat it (unless it’s down/feather jacket). Marc has mixed materials, it is warm but definitely not a winter coat. Honestly, Mederick isn’t either, for below 0 Celsius or 32 Fahrenheit, it’s tricky to wear Mederick unless you have maybe 2-3 layers (correctly) underneath.

Oi Helena 🤗 muito obrigada! Os casacos da Curated são parecidos com Mederick, eu acho o Mederick um pouco mais grosso na verdade. Os dois são quentes o suficiente até 0 grau, mas eu tenho que usar thermal shirt e cashmere sweater underwear, a good pair of warm boots and big scarf. Na minha opinião eles são ótimos pra o inverno, mas quando passa de zero, eu prefiro usar aqueles que parecem um blanket 😂 puffer down jackets. Beijinho 😘❤️🤗

Yes I did try in another color, I didn’t feel it was too big one me but I have wide shoulders. I think if you’re petite or have slim shoulders it might overwhelm your frame, otherwise it’s fine to go with your usual size! Both 34 and 36 looked nice on me. I have a video, let me look for it

Hi Maren! ☺️ No, so far I never felt the wind passing through the coat, it’s solid enough for the wind not to pass through. In super low temperatures you may feel it though if you don’t have the right layers underneath or the wind is just abnormal (I haven’t experienced either though).

They’re quite similar in terms of warmth. Mederick is a bit thicker so I’d say a bit heavier and warmer. The old version from The Curated is thicker and feels more like Mederick, it’s a rougher texture though. The new Curated coat is slightly thinner and softer, but quite warm too!

Because the coats are unlined do they catch on your clothes when you walk? I have a boiled wool coat that I love but it pulls on my clothes when I walk and that drives me crazy. Thanks!

They’re pretty warm even though they’re thin. That’s what’s great about 100% wool! I’ve worn mine with 0 celsius/30ish Fahrenheit (with a thermal shirt + cashmere underneath) and it was great!

For a reason it felt that vintage blue color washed you out. It’s not the most flattering for you. You have similar appearance to Penelope Cruz and deeper more intense colors would suit you better.
