Loving your videos 😊. Can I ask how you fared with the modern coat that is 90%mw and 10%cashmere? Does it keep you as warm as the other coats and does it still look as good? On the scale of 1 to 10 for softness, how would you rate the 90/10 coat? I recently purchased the classic curated coat with 30%cashmere and I absolutely love its softness. They are now out of stock in the UK for my size except the 90/10 in the sale. Just wondering if it's worth getting?

Thanks for the video! I recently discovered The Curated and love the style of their coats. I noticed that you have some styles and colors that are no longer sold. Is it common for them to release new limited editions? Also, do you know when they typically have their sample sales?

yes it was quite common in the early days for them to release limited styles as they were previously using deadstock fabric. these days, they don't seem to make too many changes to their styles

Hey Vee - I’m 5ft, ~100lbs and looking into getting the tailored coat. Customer service recommended XXS as the XS might be too long since the tailored coat is the longest coat in their line. By any chance, have you tried the XXS coats? Wondering if there will still be ample room for layering.

Thank you so much! So glad to have you here! With the modern coat, yes, there is ample room to layer knits in the size I have. The “fitted” part is along the hips, it’s the slimmest out of all my Curated coats. But it’s not tight by any means, I just like my coats to be a bit more of a relaxed fit :) hope that helps!

Hi, I need your help, please. Their size chart make me confused, the CHEST and the WAIST in their chart I should multiply by 2, right? and the BODY means the length of the coat?

i'm so glad to hear it was helpful! I'd say southern california weather is quite similar to the weather we experience in sydney. the London coat is really lightweight but warm. I mostly wear it over the one layer and it's enough to keep me warm in winter xx

Hi Vee, your blog mentioned that the khaki color in modern coat is more warmer tone, but in the video when compared to the bone, it's cooler? I'm just bit confused now if it's a warmer or cooler tone? Also do you reckon the current one has got A line shape instead of straight in yours? Many thanks for the review 😊

hello! ah yes, how confusing of me. the bone colour is more of a warm tone - more of a peachy pink tone through it, whereas the light khaki melange is more of a cool tone beige. I'm actually not sure about the cut of the current one, I would have thought it would have had the same straight cut. hope that helps!

I've just discovered the curated thanks to your channel. I really appreciate this coat review as I'm putting a couple on my wish list! I'm curious as to the fact that they're not lined. How do you find it wearing a sweater underneath. Does it feel clingy to put on and take off?

i'm so glad you found this to be helpful! the coats aren't lined but they're made of a double faced wool, which essentially feels like a really warm cardigan or a less structured coat. i've had no issues with putting the coat on and taking it off with a sweater underneath - none of that clingy-ness that you're referring to :)

Not yet! I've only done spot cleans here and there, but i've never subjected them to a dry clean!

Hey, how do you store your coats to protect them from wood bug/moth damage?

i just store them in my wardrobe with enough room for them to breathe (ie, not stuffed in too tightly in an overpacked closet!)

Good question - the fabric is actually double faced wool and very warm, despite it being quite thin. And it’s actually quite reasonably priced considering it contains a higher blend of cashmere ☺️

I love their products but terribly disappointed by their customer service. Unless you live in in the US, Australia or the UK, they don’t refund you the taxes when you make a return. As a customer you’re out more than 20% of your purchase value. Shame, their coats are very good.

oh that is a huge deterrence :( i tend to avoid retailers that don't cover duties/taxes as well - they can really add up. what a shame!

Long coats are not suitable for short people, which is often seen on the street, optically shortening the figure.
