I'm getting a mix of the ambient moodiness of Disintegration/Bloodflowers, the psychedelia of Wish and the sheer depression of Faith/Pornography. In other words, pretty much everything you'd want from a Cure song after 15 years without a new album.

I get wish and the cure vibes (meaning their album of 2004). But not really disintegration as many people have said. I know it's an unpopular opinion 😅 but maybe I'm not the only one who sees it. Particularly the song "going nowhere". Greetings fellows 🤟🏻🇨🇴

I really don't feel anything of Disintegration... and Pornography or Faith are really an other planet compared to this... I.m.p.o. this is a boring replica of Bloodflowers. Few comments say that the cure are the tribute band of themselves and they carry on just for Money. You can say bad things about Robert Smith. But you must admit that HE IS A REAL, LEGIT ARTIST! in his songs you always feel REAL EMOTIONS, because it is his way to espress himself and he has the incredible skill to share this to a worldwide audience effortlessly. Because he speaks about HUMAN FEELINGS, which are universal. And to me this is the sign of PURE ART and neverending love for the music that Robert has always been showing for more than 40 years now. i know i am biased since i love the cure since i was 12 (now i am 50!!) But anybody who knows the cure, even without being hardcore fan like me, shall acknowledge the passion and the HEART that Robert Smith has put in everything he has done so far. TI VOGLIO TANTO BENE ROBERT (from a long time Italian fan) ❤❤

The repetitive three-note guitar notes give me strong Disintegration (the song) vibes. Also, i suspect this is the record for the longest intro section of any Cure song. So 2 new songs so far and both were knocked out of the park! This album is shaping up to be something amazing. This is a big fucking deal!!! The people who get the importance of this being what it seems to be (which is the type of work in which true fans have been waiting for for a very long time). The relevance of a Cure album, a new full length Cure album that has the never before seen before or since power and ability to harness emotion that was never before available to be felt such as on the once in a lifetime creations of Disintegration or Pornography really changes the game for not only us as fans but for us and new fans as human beings. The way we imagine and the way we dream of a world that didn’t exist before these songs, the images they create and what they allow us to express as we change along with this art as it becomes a part of our lives is absolutely endless. As of now I’m feeling that feeling of being a first time cure fan again. I haven’t thought about the inspiration that left me with in a long long time.
